I had a lovely walk through the very frosty but gorgeously sunny park this morning after dropping the kids off at school. Some quiet me-time to reflect and plan how I was going to spend my day.

Wellness Awareness Days for January 2024

How can your wellness, health or beauty business help your customers with these?

Think outside the box if your wellness business doesn't obviously align with any of these awareness days.

A beauty salon could offer a Dry January reward, a Blue Monday beauty boost or a mini relaxing aromatherapy treatment for struggling parents.

Wellness business

If you're one of the many wellness, health or beauty businesses who design your own marketing collateral, I have a few design tips for you to make it simpler and easier.

If you're designing a wellness leaflet or a price list or something that has a lot of text and information, there are a few tips to help break up the information and make it easier for customers to take in all the information.

✨ Pick a font with a few different weights so you can use Light for the main paragraph, and Medium and Bold for titles and bullet points

✨ Pick a simple, easy to read font for most of the leaflet. You can use a fancy font for headings if you wish

✨ Use different sizes of font for headings, bullet points and paragraphs

✨ Use a couple of your brand colours for titles or to make certain information stand out

✨ Keep paragraphs short

✨ Make sure you have good contrast between your text and background

Have you made any new resolutions for 2024?

There seems to be a back lash against making new year resolutions this year but personally I love this time of year and thinking about fresh possibilities and what I'd like to achieve both personally and in my business.

And I don't mean those resolutions where I hit the gym 4 times a week, drink 2 litres of water a day and overhaul my diet from 1 January! That's just asking to fail.

I mean those thoughtful and intentional resolutions about where I want to be with my health, my family and friends, new experiences.

And also from a business sense, it's good time to define your vision for your wellness business.

Find a quiet moment, meditate or journal, and outline your goals and dreams for your wellness business for 2024.

✨ What do you need to work on in 2024 to reach your business vision?

Make a list of your top 3 things to focus on improving and let this guide you through 2024.

Write it down and make it real!

It's the last day of the year and while most of us will hopefully be celebrating and thinking about the new year, take a moment to think about the old year and how far you've come in business and personally.

It can sometimes feel like we've not achieved much especially when we look at our to do lists and how much we still haven't done.

Take a moment and think back at the last 12 months and make a new list of all the things you have actually achieved.

It's not always the big things, look at the small steps you might have taken towards making changes and improving things in your life.

Have you actually done more in your wellness business this year than you realised?

There's always more to do! Let's just take a step back and celebrate all our achievements this year.

This is one of the leaflets I worked on this year for Crystal Serenity's Golden Light

The lovely Cathy was coming back to her business after a break and wanted to update her business cards and leaflet before attending events.

It was quite a tight deadline and lots of information to fit onto the leaflet but I do relish a challenge! Really pleased how it turned out though.

I'll share a before & after in the new year plus some design tips on how to set out lots of text so it's easy and clear for your customers to read.
