Edwin Pounds & Sons Funeral Directors has been providing services within the local area for over 100 years.

Established in 1904, Edwin Pounds & Sons was mainly a farm but also incorporated being coal merchants and carriage proprietors. Providing horse & carriages to the local funeral directors. Edwin had eleven children, eight boys and three girls. All the boys worked within the business hence the name of Edwin Pounds & Sons. We opened our Wibsey branch in February 2023. We also offer Choice Funeral Plans which enable you to record your personal wishes and pay towards your funeral in advance, which could provide peace of mind to you and your family. The donations, we raised £61.41 between pop up market and christmas market for Baby loss awareness .. So big thank you ..
We gave over 50 christmas bauble making kits away ..
You visited and left messages for your loved ones in abundance to place on our tree, which will be displayed in our window throughout Christmas ..
You shared wonderful stories of loved ones to which we are honoured to listen to ..
The weather was against us but it did not stop the wonderful people attending ..
Big thank you to Wibsey Business and Community, events group, the hard work put into this was exemplary as always..
We certainly are building a community ..
