Wood anemones
often called windflowers
are one of the first signs of spring in woodland.
They open with the light
and close again as it fades…
moving with the rhythm of the day.
What looks like a simple carpet of flowers
can take years to form
spreading slowly, quietly, beneath the trees.
Nature doesn’t rush its return.
And neither do we have to.
Sometimes it’s enough
to simply notice
what’s beginning again around us 🐾🌿
Bearfoot-note 🐾✏️
Windflowers follow the light
opening and closing with the day.
Nature moves in rhythms…
and so can we.
