I’ve not been posting as much lately — illness and constriction chaos at home have had me in a sacred pause. Yet even in the quiet, our little sanctuary has grown to 400 souls. 🌙💚

This reminds me that rhythm doesn’t have to mean constant noise. It can be gentle, steady, and true. Thank you for being here, for resonating with the offerings, and for walking this path alongside me.

Things are a little chaotic here at the moment — Yule kits are being prepped, workshop is underway, and there’s building work happening outside too!

This morning I spotted something I often see in herbal groups, and I wanted to chat briefly about terminology and why it matters. 🌿

I know many of you make your own remedies, but I keep seeing people refer to glycerites as “non‑alcoholic tinctures.” It might not seem like a big deal, but the difference is important:

Tincture → Always alcohol‑based, stronger in extraction, and has a shelf life of multiple years.
Glycerite → Made with vegetable glycerin, alcohol‑free (great for kids or those avoiding alcohol), but typically only lasts around a year and is gentler in strength.

So calling a glycerite a tincture is actually misleading — especially if you’re selling them. So consumers please check what your buying is the real thing and not a mislabelled glycerite. Using the right words honours the plants, the process, and the tradition, and it ensures people know exactly what they’re working with.

Words carry energy, so let’s use them with care. 💚

This time last year, I hit burnout.
I thought it might be the end of my rhythm—but instead, it became the beginning of something new.

I started a small WhatsApp group (now our Discord), and a community grew—most of you are still with me today.
I opened a sub‑group that’s now evolving into a Circle.
Thanks to my regulars, I’m building a workshop space to hold our work.
Most importantly, I changed my mindset: I stopped chasing, and started honouring what truly lights me up.

Not every fancy name means a rare stone. “Cherry Quartz” and “Blue Goldstone” are man‑made glass, not natural crystals.

✨ Dyed Crystals
Bright neon agates or quartz clusters are often dyed. They can still be beautiful, but they don’t carry the same properties as their natural form.

✨ Fakes
- “Turquoise” is often dyed howlite.
- “Citrine” is usually heat‑treated amethyst.
- “Opalite” is man‑made glass, not opal.

🌿 Takeaway: Crystals don’t lose their magic because they’re polished, dyed, or even man‑made—but honesty matters. Knowing what you’re holding builds trust and deepens your practice.

I’ve been a little quiet this week as my new workshop arrives — a space I’ve long dreamed of, where ritual and rhythm can finally come into alignment.

When I first created Herbs & Hearth, I wanted it to be more than a subscription. I wanted a sacred space. Now, that hearth is evolving into The Sanctuary Circle — one clear tier where we gather each month for journaling, meditation, rituals, and reflections.

To keep this sustainable, the cost will shift slightly, honouring the energy I pour into holding space. Reiki will be available as an optional add‑on at a discounted member rate (£15 for a 20‑minute session), so those who feel called can receive deeper energetic support.

We also have a private community space on Discord — a quiet hearth for sharing and connection between circles.
