Introducing the long awaited new arrival!

It’s been a whirlwind few days but just a brief update for you all whilst we settle in!

Isaac Phillips - born via unplanned elective c section in the end on 28th December.

After my waters broke on Boxing Day it looked like things were going to happen very quickly and naturally but unfortunately by morning everything had ground to a halt and then by the evening there was some meconium present in my waters, So we weren’t able to continue with the more natural induction process and instead of dragging out a potentially stressful induction and labour, I opted for the c section which was definitely the right decision.

I almost had to share my birthday but the staff were fabulous and took us in just after midnight so he now has his own separate day 🥰💕

We returned home last night and are recovering well.

This week we finished our first block of The Mummy Movement course - 6 weeks dedicated to restoring mums awareness and control of their core, pelvic floor and functional movement.

During pregnancy and birth, our bodies undergo so much change to create life to our little ones and it’s so important to give back to your body again! 💕

These ladies have done just that and can now feel confident building their strength safely.

Hi everyone, I thought it was time that I shared a couple of life and Fortitude updates with you all! 🧡

As many of you know, my baby is very much on the way (expected early January), which means I’m going to be slowing things down a notch in the lead up to Christmas and the arrival of my little one! 🍼

You may have noticed that our Physio booking system is currently offline, this is because my appointment slots are very limited over the next few weeks, as I’m sure you can appreciate it is HARD WORK growing a baby! If you’re a regular client, please do send me a DM and I’ll do my best to fit you in!

For any new interest in our Physiotherapy, please send me a DM and I can pop you on our waitlist for the new year!

I’m going to be working up until mid-December and then I’m going to be taking a break and a well-deserved rest with my family over Christmas as we await the exciting new arrival to the family! (Unless he arrives sooner)

Exciting news... I'm Pregnant 🤰 ✨️

Naturally this means that some new changes are happening here at Fortitude 👀

I plan to take a step back from teaching Pilates at the beginning of September. But don't worry, the lovely Louise will be taking over the mats for a few months!

I'm hoping to continue with some pre and post natal Pilates classes over the next few months and will aim to join in as a participant to maintain some strength and fitness as I grow!

I will be continuing in clinic up until just before Christmas 🎄 before I take a few months off. Of course I will still be around doing admin and all the other tasks! But I may be a bit quieter for a while! So make sure you plan your appointments to get in before I take a break! 🗓
