It started with a slow walk…
One step at a time, pushing the pram/hanging on to the pram for support 😅.
As a physiotherapist, I understand the body.
But nothing prepares you for when it’s your body — healing from major surgery, feeling unfamiliar, and starting again from zero.
And the hardest part?
Recovery doesn’t happen in isolation.
Because when you become a mum,
your healing comes second.
Your rest is interrupted.
Your body is needed before it’s ready.
You’re caring for a baby…
while trying to rebuild yourself.
The strength I had before?
It didn’t disappear… but it changed.
There were moments of doubt.
Moments where the simplest movements took a lot of mental and physical effort.
But recovery isn’t about “bouncing back.”
It’s about rebuilding — slowly, patiently, intentionally.
And now…
I get to support other mums doing the same 💛
If you’ve had a C-section, your recovery matters.
Your body deserves time.
And you deserve support. 💕
