If you are formula feeding your baby/toddler with SMA formulas please visit the website and check the batch numbers that are being recalled!

Nestlé decided to recall some batches due to the potential presence of cereulide.

The symptoms caused by this toxin include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal cramps and lethargy.

If your baby presents any of these symptoms please contact a medical professional 🤍

15th October is pregnancy and baby loss awareness day ✨

It’s a pain I wish no one had to ever go trough.

Its navigating the most excruciating emotions while feeling so fragile physically.

It is hating your body because it failed you, if failed your baby and your family.

It is looking for answers where sometimes there are none.

It’s the unknown.

Not knowing why it happened. If you could have done something different. If you shouldn’t have done something.

It’s never knowing your little one’s favourite colour, food or take them to their first day at school.

It’s missing on someone’s entire life.

For some of us it’s never knowing their little faces, while others battle every day to not forget a single inch of those held so briefly.

It’s hearing things like “it wasn’t meant to be! At least was early on! You are still young, you can try again”.

It’s getting less compassion because you are not the one who is physically experiencing the loss. Even if you feel every inch of yours and your partner’s pain, while trying to keep the world together.

We, those who were unfortunate to have navigated the pain of pregnancy and baby loss, dont need much. We just need our grief to be seen.

We just need to be seen 🤍

Today, I walked into the NICU and was reminded of what true courage looks like. Rows of tiny incubators, each one holding a miracle. Each one holding a story.

The beeping machines, the quiet hum of nurses and doctors moving with purpose, the gentle touch of parents who don’t want to disturb but can’t bear to be apart—it’s a world of its own. A world where every ounce gained, every breath taken, is a victory.

To the parents: I see your strength. I see the love pouring from you even when you’re exhausted, scared, or unsure. I see the moments you hold your baby’s tiny hand through the plastic and whisper, “You’ve got this.”

To the NICU staff: You are angels on Earth. You’re not just saving lives—you’re creating hope, one heartbeat at a time.

And to the little ones: You are the strongest souls I’ve ever met. Born fighters, teaching us what it means to never give up. You remind us that the smallest things can carry the greatest power.

To anyone going through this journey, you are not alone. You are braver than you know, and your love is a force stronger than anything else.

This year the focus is on creating sustainable, strong and reliable supporting systems throughout the entire breastfeeding journeys 🤍

At home, in public, at work… just like us, babies need feeding multiple times a day, there is no set time or place for it. Their needs and the needs of the breastfeeding parent also change depending on the breastfeeding phase they are on 🤍

The amount of families ther are told that they need to move onto specialised formulas because the babies have allergies when in fact most of the times breastfeeding parents just need to remove the allergens from their diet 🤍

Karen Millen had said atrocious things about breastfeeding on national tv. I refuse to share the video and give it any more attention. But there are things that must be said:

🤍 Breastfeeding is beneficial in ALL ages

🤍 The natural age for weaning is between 2-7 years of age

🤍 Breastfeeding is not selfish, if anything, is the most selfless act. You are giving so much of yourself to your baby 🤱🏽

🤍 It doesn’t “damage” your child emotionally ! Secure attachment in childhood results in much better psychological outcomes later on in life 🫂

🤍 I would also like to say, I am so sorry had such a traumatic experience on her breastfeeding journey that made her feel this way. I am sorry you didn’t get the support you needed 🫂

🤍 and because never gets old, BREASTFEEDING SHOULD NOT BE PAINFUL!

I hope one day we don’t need these signs on the wall.

I hope one day, as society and humanity, we all understand the benefits of breastfeeding and human breastmilk.

I hope one day, no one feeding their baby, feels the need to hide.

I hope one day we are all just a bit kinder to parents navigating parenthood and trying their best for their kids.

Until then, it’s amazing to see a hospital that publicly supports families in its communal areas 😌🤍
