Pharmacies open over festive holidays 2025/2026

GP surgeries will be closed on 25-28 December 2025 and 1-4 January 2026. They will be open as normal on 29 December and 5 January.

If you have a non-urgent health issue over the festive holidays, please wait until your GP surgery reopens, contact a local community pharmacy or visit www.nhsinform.scot for answers to common health questions and symptom checkers.

If you think you need A&E, but it’s not life-threatening, call NHS 24 on 111 day or night.

If it’s an emergency, you should call 999 or go to A&E. Do not attend A&E with a problem that you would normally see your GP with. This will allow A&E to concentrate on emergencies.

We are looking for toys/gifts for ages 0-18 who may otherwise receive nothing else this Christmas.

The box usually gets picked up late November to early December.
