Do you love supporting others on their wellbeing journey?
Would you enjoy helping beginners build confidence, fitness and community through running?

We’re recruiting friendly, motivated volunteers to help deliver our Couch to 5K programme — and we’ll pay for your LIRF (Leader in Running Fitness) qualification with Welsh Athletics 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

No coaching experience needed — just enthusiasm, reliability and a passion for helping people thrive.

A huge step forward 🧠 💚

After years of quietly pushing prevention forward, Food for the Brain has been awarded a national Innovate UK grant, recognising both the urgency of their work and the power of their support.

This means Food for the Brain's Cognitive Function Test - already taken by over 200,000 people worldwide - will now form part of new UK research, led by Oxford University, to help bring early dementia detection into the NHS.

“The Food for the Brain Foundation will assess blood biomarkers being developed in the READ-OUT trial using their Cognitive Function Test, as part of the Blood Biomarker Challenge.” UK Research and Innovation (2024)

This is more than a grant or kudos. It’s proof that the science they have championed for nearly two decades is finally being recognised at the highest level. And most importantly, the tools of prevention will reach more people and create more impact.

In short: prevention is finally being taken seriously, and Food for the Brain are leading the way.
