The Knights are committed to action, yet here, although the rider wears the wings of Hermes the swift messenger, his stance and that of his horse is at odds and is seen to be conflicted as the horse is held back.

There is a small river flowing through a parched land yet the horse appears rigid at its bank.

A dreamy, person full of promise, full of empathy, charm and compassion, poetic, creative yet he can be disconnected from reality and unable to take real action, preferring to stay in the realms of imagination.

In its reversed aspect he can indicate manipulation lies and trickery.
