MSc Sport and Exercise Nutrition underway 🤓

A good few days of testing VO2 max, lactate thresholds and power output to better understand the bodies choice of fuel at different intensities.

Looking forward to increasing my understanding of everything exercise nutrition to better support clients on their health, performance and body composition journeys 📕🫡

Ellie 2.0 has landed! 💥

I worked with Ellie at the start of last year with a very similar aim of improving her body composition. When life takes over, the routine slips and it gets difficult to keep on top of nutrition as well as everything else life throws at you.

We weren’t trying to overcomplicate anything, it was about re-introducing some consistency into Ellie’s structure, daily habits and nutritional choices 🤝

From that point on, Ellie has absolutely smashed it 🙌🏼🔥 She has seen improvements in her training output, energy levels, sleep quality and has dropped over 6.5kg in the meantime! 📈

It was important we accounted for the odd social occasion and some weekend flexibility to keep motivation high in between some relatively strict weeks ⚖️

It’s been a pleasure to support Ellie on her nutrition journey again and witness some serious dedication and accountability! 🙌🏼

Kieran 2.0 has dropped! 💥

I first helped Kieran 18 months ago with the aim of improving his training output. This time we focused on his eating structure to improve his physique! As you can see, mission accomplished 🔥

Kieran was clear that he didn’t want to completely miss out on socials, meals out or the odd treat while improving his body composition. So we were really looking to execute the 80-20 rule, being on the money 80% of the time, with flexible choices in the remaining time.

Where so many others struggle, Kieran didn’t need an all or nothing approach. He was actually dialled in 80% of the time, tracked day in day out and carried out all the adjustments to account for any social occasions!

Another solid 12 weeks! 🫡

It has been a pleasure to support on his nutrition journey to implement a consistent eating structure and improve his training and competition output 💪🏼

The initial focus was to ensure he was taking on enough easy to digest fuel pre training, particularly when doubling up on his sessions ⛽️

We then turned the focus to hyrox prep for a recent simulation event, where Tom and his partner had a very impressive time on a tough course. This wasn’t about ‘carb loading’ in its traditional format, it’s about making smart food swaps to avoid feeling bloating and sluggish on event day 🔋

The by-product of Toms hard work and commitment to the plan was dropping some body fat along the way, he now looks learner and performs more efficiently, a very successful 12 weeks 🫡

I’ve witnessed some impressive transformations in my time but nothing comes close to what Sean has achieved! 🏆

I’ve worked with Sean for the best part of a year now. The main focus of the first phase was to reduce some body fat, which can be seen on a previous testimonial, whereas the second phase had much more of a performance focus to it 📅

We shaped his nutrition programme to fit his extensive training regime. It was so important both of these aspects blended together effortlessly to ensure his body was getting the intake it needed to cope with the energy demands of Ironman training, whilst maximising recovery!

Across this time Sean has dropped an incredible 26kg in body weight - 4 stone‼️

But for Sean, reducing his body weight was just one of many ways to improve his performance output and achieve his ultimate aim of completing a full Ironman race.

Not only has Sean just competed his long term goal, he has hit PBs in all of his running and Ironman distances!

A very impressive year of progress 🔥

Ben’s physique and training output has gone from strength to strength over the past 12 weeks. Not only has he dropped 6kg and seen significant training improvements but he has also achieved impressive hyrox times in that period too! 🏎️💨

It was important we put a clear plan in place to fit his work and family commitments and not hinder them. This could only be achieved by Ben buying in, planning his days and prepping his meals in advance! 🙌🏼

Theres no substitute for discipline and consistency if you really want to make strides in your training, physique and overall health, and that’s exactly what Ben has brought! 🫡

We’re inviting sports clubs to get in touch and book a 60 minute Sports Performance Nutrition Seminar that aims to maximise clubs pre-season training by developing players knowledge on how to;

- Fuel their body correctly
- Recover efficiently
- Improve their body composition for performance
- Maximise health

Since launching CG Performance Nutrition in 2021 I have supported over 120 clients to reach their health, body composition and performance goals. I’m now expanding to work with clubs and teams to better equip their players for the long seasons ahead.

At each seminar I will be joined by Sports Nutritionist Matthew Jenkins (MSc SENR) who has over 15 years experience in professional and semi professional environments and will bring a wealth of knowledge to the session.
