Red Dragon focuses on providing specialist training of a variety of topics.
Since completing 30 years Police Service in 2016 I have designed and delivered a variety of training courses on subjects including Domestic Abuse, Child Protection, Safeguarding, Bereavement & Loss and Children who self harm to agencies such as the Ministry of Justice, IOPC and Powys County Council. In addition training of:
•Safeguarding induction training to Metropolitan Police Service (5 Day course) which includes Child & Adult protection, CSE, CCE, Sexual Offences, Domestic Abuse and Missing Persons investigation.
•Mental Health Awareness 1 day training course to Metropolitan Police Service.
•2 day specialist CPIA Training to Officers from Sussex & Dyfed Powys Police
•Bespoke suspect and witness interviewing training to Department of Work & Pensions and also the Maritime Management Organisation.
•Specialist Child ABE Training – February 2019 delivered joint ABE training to Social Workers from the London Boroughs of Hillingdon and Camden .
•Safeguarding & Achieving Best Evidence training – Since January 2019 designed and delivered a number of safeguarding training courses to staff from the Independent Office of Police Conduct across the UK. In addition bespoke training regarding ‘The legal encounter’ dealing with Solicitors and Federation Representatives ( 3 Day Course).
•Adult Safeguarding & Child Abuse Foundation and Advanced Training – Since January 2018 designed and delivered training courses delivered to staff from Powys County Council.
•3GS Interviewing, Safeguarding , CPIA/GDPR, Conflict management.
•Working with South Wales Police delivering PiP 2 Witness & Suspect Interviewing Training; courses include safeguarding, vulnerable & intimidated witnesses and suspects, CPIA.
•Training Victim Support Homicide Workers. They provide practical and emotional support to families who are bereaved through homicide; training includes bereavement & Trauma awareness, safeguarding of vulnerable children and adults.
•Working with West Midlands Police delivering investigative training to civilian investigators. Covering all aspects of basic criminal investigation: statement taking, suspect interviewing, CPIA disclosure and safeguarding.
In addition over a 12 month period developing and delivering the CHOICES domestic abuse perpetrator programme for men in Bridgend for Calan DVS.
