An incredible story learnt by our team today from a student who had attended our First Aid courses, performing CPR at a football match. Recognising the player had collapsed and stopped breathing, retrieving a Defibrillator and delivering a shock 1 minute after the initial collapse. Thankfully- the casualty is making a good recovery in hospital.
In this case- a Defibrillator certainly was the difference between a life lost - and a life saved.

We’ve been working hard with Alveley Community First Responders to install a Public Access in a phone kiosk- great idea!

Some use phone boxes to call people (soooo last decade!), we, use phone boxes to save lives like here in Shatterford. Well done to Alveley CFRs for making this possible! Do you know where your local defib is?
