We are deeply saddened by the news coming in of the Funeral Director in Hull, who has now appeared in Court
We pass on our sincere condolences to all those families affected and give thanks to all of the emergency services, the Coroner and especially the Police who are likely to be deeply affected by this case
As a Funeral professional, we are appalled by the actions of this one individual company and we want to assure all of our families that we adhere to strict regulations set by SAIF and are annually assessed to ensure that all of our care meets the highest standards. We offer an open door policy where families are welcome to come and see our premises before entrusting us with a loved one and we are more than happy to sit and chat with anyone who would like to come and meet us
For anyone choosing funeral care, please be assured that there are some wonderful funeral directors out there and we mustn't let the aborant actions of this one individual teint the companies who work so hard to ensure their care and standards are of the highest order.

Hull funeral director in court to face 63 charges after Legacy investigation
Robert Bush was arrested after an investigation was launched in March 2024.
A funeral director has appeared in court charged with 63 offences following an investigation into the treatment of bodies at his premises.
Robert Bush, formerly of Kirk Ella, East Yorkshire, appeared briefly at Hull Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday after the year-long investigation into Legacy Independent Funeral Directors.
He is charged with 30 counts of preventing a lawful and decent burial and 30 counts of fraud by false representation relating to bodies found at the firm’s Hessle Road site in Hull in March last year.
The 47-year-old has also been charged with one count of fraudulent trading in relation to funeral plans sold between May 2012 and March 2024, encompassing 172 victims, and one count of fraud in relation to human ashes, encompassing 50 victims, between August 2017 and March 2024.
Bush, now of East Busk Lane, Otley, West Yorkshire, is also facing one count of theft from charities between 1 September 2017 and 6 March 2024.
The charities named in the charge include Dove House Hospice and Working Independently Supporting Hull Hospitals (WISHH), The Salvation Army, Macmillan Cancer Support, and Cystics of Hull Independent Equipment Fund (CHIEF) which raises money for families with cystic fibrosis patients.
He did not enter a plea during Wednesday's hearing and was given bail to appear at Hull Crown Court on Wednesday 13 August.
Humberside Police said they removed 35 bodies and a quantity of ashes from Legacy after receiving a report of concern for care for the deceased in March last year.
