The power of Bowen ⚡️ ⚡️

✨ Piezoelectric Power in Bowen Therapy ✨
Bowen moves gently stretch and roll the fascia, creating tiny electrical charges through the piezoelectric effect ⚡️

These micro-currents help:
• Release tension
• Reduce pain
• Improve hydration + healing
• Reset the nervous system

Light touch. Big impact. 🤍

Fascinating how everything is linked by the fascia 🤩

Fascinating how everything is linked by the fascia 🤩

Your jaw tension is literally crushing your breathing and destroying your posture from the inside out.

The masseter muscle (your jaw) shares a neurological highway with your diaphragm and pelvic floor they’re all connected through the same fascial chains and nervous system pathways.

Here’s what happens when your jaw is clenched:
•Your diaphragm can’t fully expand, reducing oxygen by up to 30%

•Your pelvic floor compensates by over-tightening, creating lower back tension

•Your entire core becomes rigid instead of responsive

•This creates a domino effect: tight jaw → shallow breathing → weak core → poor posture

The Science: 1️⃣ Trigeminal nerve (jaw) → 2️⃣ Vagus nerve (diaphragm) → 3️⃣ Pelvic nerve → 4️⃣ Postural collapse

With a clenched jaw: Your diaphragm stays elevated, your pelvis tilts forward, creating that hunched-over “tech neck” posture.

With a relaxed jaw: Your diaphragm drops fully, your pelvis stabilizes, your entire spine decompresses.

Most people try to “fix” their posture by pulling their shoulders back. That’s like trying to fix a foundation by painting the roof.

The REAL fix? Release the jaw tension that’s hijacking your entire breathing system 24/7.

That’s what I created the 5-Minute Posture Fix giving you a scientifically-designed protocol that targets the jaw-breathing-posture connection in just 5 minutes a day, link in bio ☝️

Healing power in the gentle moves of Bowen ❤️‍🩹
All the body needs is gentle persuasion to come back in to balance and ease.

Bowen isn’t about force — it’s about communication.

⚡ The move creates the signal.
⚡ The gap allows the change.
⚡ Fascia, acting as a sensory organ, responds — its receptors reset tension and restore function.

👉 That’s how light touch creates powerful, lasting change.

Muscles → Dural Tension

Tight suboccipitals don’t just cause local stiffness.
They can increase tension within the dura mater, creating a chain of symptoms:
⚡ Headaches
⚡ Neck pain
⚡ Neurological effects

👉 Assessment-Led Bodywork teaches you to see beyond the symptom and trace the true source.

Jaw & Pelvis: The Hidden Link

Through fascial and dural chains, dysfunction in the TMJ can shift pelvic alignment — and pelvic torsions can trigger jaw problems.

Symptoms are rarely isolated. Without assessment, you risk chasing effects instead of correcting causes.

👉 Learn to identify these hidden links with Assessment-Led Bodywork.

The Dural Anchor

The dura anchors at the sacrum and coccyx.
A fall on the tailbone may look like a local injury — but it can send tension rippling up the spine, altering cranial mechanics and neural function.

👉 This is why assessment matters: old injuries can explain “new” symptoms.

The Body’s Toughest Tissue

“Restriction in the dura = symptoms everywhere”)

The dura mater isn’t just a protective sheath — it’s the body’s central tension line.

When restricted, it can ripple strain from skull to sacrum, creating symptoms far from the real source.

👉 That’s why Assessment-Led Bodywork focuses on finding and correcting dural restrictions — not chasing pain.

Amazing 🤩

Amazing 🤩

The Piezoelectric Effect in Fascia
Bowen moves create a piezoelectric response — gentle, sustained pressure in the fascia generates tiny electrical currents.
⚡ These currents send signals to cells, informing them of movement, load, and activity.
⚡ The result? A whole-body response to a seemingly light touch.
👉 This is why Bowen’s “slow melting pressure” is so powerful.

13/09/2025

A Bowen move isn’t just a touch — it stimulates sensory receptors, triggering a neural feedback loop that tells the body to self-correct.

⚡️ With the right assessment, one precise move can activate lasting change across the system.

👉 That’s the difference between chasing symptoms and transforming outcomes with Assessment-Led Bodywork.

Muscle Meets Dura

Headaches may start in the neck - Assessment reveals the link

👉 The suboccipitals connect directly to the dura.
The suboccipital muscles at C1–C3 don’t just move the head — they connect directly into the dura.

⚡ Tension here can trigger headaches, dizziness, even low back pain.

👉 With Assessment-Led Bodywork, you learn to identify these hidden links and correct them at the source.
