🐑✨ What do we do with our wool?
Wool has so many benefits and uses — and after our crafting ( look out for a needle‑felting workshop coming soon), nothing goes to waste here at Meadow Barn.

As well as using it for our own creative projects, the garden absolutely loves it. We use wool to mulch around the vegetable plants and to line hanging baskets. The slugs hate it, but the soil loves it — it keeps moisture in, adds nutrients, and breaks down naturally over time!

We’ve had more wonderful lamb experience sessions this week with plenty of hands‑on learning, and one lucky group were treated to the incredible sight of a lamb arriving into the world. A truly special moment.❤️

Another super day yesterday at our Easter Holiday Club — the children were amazing, but the lambs completely stole the show!
As always, lots of fun was had: planting, feeding, exploring, and getting creative together.
But there’s no denying it… the lambs were definitely the biggest hit of the day!

🌼 What a truly wonderful first lambing experience yesterday. 🐑✨
It was a day filled with tiny bleats, warm bottles, and plenty of cuddles. We fed lambs, learned all about sheep and their care, and shared those moments that only spring on the farm can bring.!
Thank you to everyone who came along we’re already looking forward to the next one!

🌼 What a gorgeous spring day at our Holiday Club yesterday ! 🌼
We packed so much in and the children were absolute stars.
🐑 They loved getting hands-on with the animals and even helped with real farm jobs — including moving the sheep, which they tackled with so much enthusiasm.
🍫 We made delicious chocolate Easter nests (with plenty of taste-testing, of course) and crafted colourful Easter crowns and painted suncatchers !
🥚 And yes… we even squeezed in a brilliant Easter egg hunt to finish off the day!

What a wonderful day we had yesterday with our youngest Farm Explorers at Meadow Barn. The sunshine, the giggles and the tiny hands discovering big new things
From meeting the animals to hunting for spring treasures, they threw themselves into every moment with curiosity and courage. Watching their confidence grow was an absolute joy !

A few months ago, our brilliant holiday club planted their very own daffodil bulbs … they’ve finally popped up — and they look absolutely gorgeous!

If you’re visiting the farm over the next few weeks, keep an eye out for their daffodils — it’s a lovely reminder of what can grow when we give kids the chance to connect with nature.

🐑✨ Springtime Lamb Experience
We’re excited to introduce a brand‑new session for this year… our Springtime Lamb Experience!
Nothing beats cuddling a new lamb, and this 1.5‑hour visit gives you the chance to do just that. Perfect for families, friends, and anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxed, memorable time on the farm.
📅 Upcoming Dates & Times:
Monday 6th April – 9.00–10.30 / 12.30–2.00 / 4.00–5.30
Saturday 11th April – 9.00–10.30 / 12.30–2.00 / 4.00–5.30
Here’s what’s included:
🐏 Cuddle the lambs
📸 Take adorable photos
🍼 Help feed them
🌿 See them out in the field
💬 Learn about the lambing process and life on the farm
💷 £6 per person (children and adults)
Spaces are limited and each visit runs in small groups, so everyone gets plenty of time with the lambs.

Please note: this session isn’t suitable for pregnant women due to standard farm‑animal safety guidance.

We’re excited to launch a brand‑new workshop for 2026… our MINI FARMERS WORKSHOP !
Perfect for children aged 4- 7 ( key stage 1 ) this gentle, hands‑on afternoon lets little ones meet the animals, help with feeding, and learn what life on the farm is really like.
📅 Monday 30th March
⏰ 2.00–4.30pm
💷 £15 per child
A lovely way to build confidence, curiosity, and connection with nature.
Spaces are limited for this first session, so early booking is recommended, please message us to reserve your space !
