Through Fieldwork: online sessions integrating pain science, somatic awareness, and inner exploration. Fieldwork with Laine Redpath
I help people interrupt chronic pain patterns through Fieldwork—my integration of pain reprocessing science, somatic awareness, and parts-based exploration. I tried everything: physiotherapy, chiropractic, medication, injections. Some things helped temporarily, but nothing lasted. What finally shifted it was understanding pain as a learned nervous system pattern - not a structural problem that needed fixing, but a protective response that could be interrupted. That changed everything. I've now spent 20 years studying pain, somatics, and nervous system patterns. I'm trained in Body Stress Release, Clinical Somatics, and Humanistic Counseling, with deep study in Pain Reprocessing Therapy and Internal Family Systems. What is Fieldwork? Fieldwork is facilitated exploration of what your pain is protecting, what patterns keep it in place, and what needs to shift for your nervous system to respond differently. This isn't hands-on treatment or traditional talk therapy. It's guided inner investigation—observing, not diagnosing. Exploring, not fixing. I work especially with:
→ Men who've tried the mechanical fixes (physio, injections, surgery) but whose pain persists
→ Women navigating chronic pain through perimenopause, motherhood, or chronic stress
→ People with ADHD or nervous system sensitivity
→ Anyone who senses their pain isn't random—and who's ready to understand the pattern underneath
How we work:
Through 1:1 online sessions, we map the pattern together, interrupt old loops, and create space for something new to emerge. Some people need 3 sessions. Some need 6-10. Some continue with ongoing integration support. I live across a few different countries, working mainly online and providing in-person by request depending on location.
