On Saturday 31st September at 9am Spread Some Sunshine Children’s Charity will be holding a Pier to Pier swim in Brighton. We have around 10 swimmers taking the plunge to raise money for vulnerable and disadvantaged kids. We are looking for one or two lifeguards to oversee the event as our normal helpers are unavailable. Would you be able to help us please �

Fellow surfer Lou and myself find ourselves waiting around for waves quite a lot being down here in Brighton.... it was during one of these many enforced lay days that we came up with our new business Whale and Me, our tiny, plastic free company have created reusable, handmade home products. So far we have made ‘scrubbies’ to replace those nasty kitchen sponges, reusable face wipes and, for the breastfeeding mums, reusable nursing pads. All avoiding pesky disposables. Our 100% cotton products don't release micro plastics into our sea.

It's nearly December, so time to get a date in diaries for the BBGs Christmas drink. We will be meeting in the Brunswick pub on Friday 29th December (from 7.30pm) - everyone's welcome to come and meet fellow local surfers. And of course if there are waves, let's have a surf beforehand!
