Achilles Foot Clinic has offered a number of verruca treatment options including acids, cryotherapy and needling. for several years.

We’ve recently introduced ‘Verrutop’ into our clinic which is an advanced, professional verrucae and wart treatment that is not available to the general public.

It is a much less invasive and normally pain-free treatment which so far has cleared more than 80% of verrucae after just 4 applications.

This treatment option is suitable for all age groups.

COVID-19

In a new study it appears that Covid-19 could affect the skin of toes, fingers and occasionally sole of the feet. This is much more common among children and teenagers. In many cases there have been no other symptoms. However when coronavirus test was carried out the result was positive.

Please note these lesions normally resolve within days without leaving any scars. Occasionally, they might be itchy or painful. In such a case a topical corticosteroid cream can be applied and if needed paracetamol can be taken for pain.

Verruca
Do not let verruca bother you.
This patient had a cluster of verrucae for 11 years. As seen in the picture it was bruised and very painful. They tried a number of treatments both at home and different clinics and nothing worked. As you can see in the pictures, 4 months after we performed verruca needling procedure, it completely vanished.
