The wonderful staff in our Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team recently got current and former participants of their Strides exercise groups together for a few hours of festive celebration in Chichester.

Launched in April this year, Strides is a circuit-based exercise class designed for patients living with neurological conditions and patients have said the classes have made them feel more confident, more independent and better able to manage their condition.

Today, we say a heartfelt farewell to Barbara as she retires after an extraordinary 50-year career in the NHS!

Barbara began her journey in 1974 as a student nurse and went on to dedicate her life to caring for patients across Crawley, Redhill, and East Surrey.

From her early days in orthopaedics to leading innovative admission liaison work, Barbara has touched countless lives with compassion, professionalism and unwavering commitment.

In 2017, Barbara and her colleague proudly won the Working in Partnership Award, recognising their outstanding collaboration between SCFT and East Surrey.

As Barbara passes the torch to the next generation, we thank her for her remarkable service and wish her a joyful retirement. ๐Ÿ’™
