The Wild Choir will be preparing this song and a load of other eclectic folk-ish beauties for our Winter Concert collaboration on December 13th with the wonderful flamenco duo Jaleo. If you'd like to be part of this and not joined the choir yet, there is still time. Booking is up now for the second half of the winter term on the website here https://thewildchoir.com/ (£60 for six weeks, audio parts of all songs available once you book).

Offerings! Woodland singing is back, starting on June 3rd. Six weeks of singing in the woods. One choir member calls it the "the highlight of her year" and another said they were often moved to tears by whole experience. It is something I look forward to so much. I am also doing the nightjar evening again - anyone can come to this, choir member or not.

What a beautiful celebration of trees, the earth and our community. The Wild Choir bashed out a fabulous new wassail song (well, new to us) in only one rehearsal and made me very proud. The next few sessions we will be welcoming new members with some beautiful, simple layered harmony songs to drop into. Warming our hearts and soothing our souls for January.

Want to hear inspiring stories of a culture where deeply soulful song and ritual are woven into the fabric of life? Listening to this fascinating and inspiring podcast episode made me feel as close as I could to travelling to Georgia myself. And it might get you into the mood for learning some Georgian songs with Holly Taylor Zuntz on November 9th in Dorking. I'll be honest with you, I need many more people to book to make this wonderful workshop happen. If you can, do please think about coming and share with anyone who likes singing, the sound of polyphonic music, acapella voices and who would like to support this kind of cultural sharing in Dorking! Thank you 🙏

Do you like to get off the beaten path, exploring what the locals sing? Yes - then travel with Voices of the Ancestors podcast to Georgia.
