Kinesiology with Donna

Kinesiology with Donna Kinesiology helps get to the root cause of any of your health concerns naturally Why choose Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a holistic therapy which uses muscle response testing to measure the motor response of the central nervous system to a sensory challenge. By doing this, imbalances can be determined and methods to rebalance the body can be indicated. By looking at the whole person, Kinesiology can help to determine whether a physical symptom is linked to a structural issue, an emotional cause, a nut

ritional deficiency or to toxicity within the body. By using a variety of modalities to address the specific problems, such as acupressure massage, meridian tapping, aka EFT, and other techniques, kinesiology assists the body and mind into a balanced state where you are able to thrive. Lifestyle advice and exercises may also be given to assist healing to continue between sessions. Kinesiology balances the whole person physically, emotionally, structurally and energetically and can help with conditions such as:

Neck and back pain

Digestive problems

Hormonal imbalances/fertility problems

Depression, mood swings, and low moods

Joint pain

Adrenal fatigue and low energy

Insomnia

Food sensitivity testing

• Stress and anxiety

• Skin problems

and much more ...

This list is not exhaustive and you may be wondering whether Kinesiology can help you. If you require clarification or would like to discuss your symptoms with me before booking an appointment I will be happy to talk with you.

🫁Kinesiology Health Tip🫁
HELP FOR COUGHS, COLDS, AND CHEST INFECTIONS

Our lungs can be supported before, during and after illness with 2 litres of water a day (the lungs need 1 litre a day and the rest of our bodies need the other 1 litre).

We can also give them a helping hand with refreshing the lymph. Lymph fluid not only cleans toxins out of our cells, it also carries nutrients and proteins to our cells and tissues to help repair and restore.

To refresh the lymphatic fluid do the following:
On either side on the breast bone between the 3rd/4th and 5th ribs start rubbing in towards the breast bone to pain tolerance between the ribs.
Rub at least 6 times each side or until any tenderness/discomfort has subsided.

Your lungs will feel easier now 🤩

🌟 Understanding the Ileocecal Valve (ICV) 🌟

Some fascinating information about a small yet crucial part of our digestive system—the Ileocecal Valve (ICV). 🧬

🔬 What is the ICV?
The Ileocecal Valve is a sphincter muscle located between the small intestine (ileum) and the large intestine (cecum). It acts as a gatekeeper, controlling the flow of digested food material from the small intestine to the large intestine.

⚙️ Functions of the ICV:
1. Regulates Passage: Ensures that food passes in a controlled manner, allowing proper nutrient absorption before moving into the large intestine.
2. Prevents Backflow: Stops the backflow of contents from the large intestine into the small intestine, crucial for avoiding contamination and maintaining digestive health.
3. Supports Digestion: Helps in efficient processing of waste material and absorption of water in the large intestine.

🩺 Common Issues with the ICV:
- ICV Dysfunction: The valve can become stuck open or closed, leading to bloating, abdominal pain, and irregular bowel movements.
- Inflammation: Conditions like Crohn’s disease can inflame the ICV, causing discomfort and other digestive issues.

🌿 Maintaining a Healthy ICV:
- Diet: Eat a balanced diet rich in fibre to promote healthy bowel movements and prevent strain on the ICV.
- Hydration: Drink plenty of water to support digestion and proper valve function.
- Regular Check-ups: If you experience persistent digestive issues, consult a Kinesiologist to ensure your ICV and overall digestive system are in good health.

💡Fun Fact: The ICV is also called Bauhin’s valve, named after the Swiss anatomist Gaspard Bauhin who described it in the 16th century.

Understanding the Ileocecal Valve is a small step towards appreciating the complex functions of our digestive system. Take care of your gut, and it will take care of you! 🌱

KINESIOLOGY HEALTH TIP

If we over indulge with sugar over the Christmas holidays we can compromise our immune system and also the want for sugar can continue and develop into more of a craving.

To squash this, we can maybe take some Liquorice root, which is very rich in chromium helping with cravings and/or Nopal which is a cactus that helps inhibit and remove excess sugar and fat from the blood (if we are on meds we need to check with our doctor first) the above can support our bodies and make it easier to cut back again. We can rub some points to help balance blood sugars too...see below
Locate a dip between the ribs on the side of your body, a few inches below the breast or pectoral crease. If unsure, gently press to find a spot that feels slightly tender.

Rub the area 4–6 times on each side at a level of tolerable discomfort, noticing it gradually becoming easier.

For the back points, reaching them yourself can be tricky. You can use the back of your knuckles or ask someone to help by rubbing these points for you.

If this resonates with you, giving it a try can feel both balancing and empowering — helping to reset after indulgence and ease cravings.

Wishing you all the best for 2025 and a New Year with less processed sugar!

🌿 **When you replace ‘Why is this happening to me?’ with ‘What is this trying to teach me?’ everything shifts.** 🌿

This powerful mindset shift is at the heart of *Systematic Kinesiology*, a truely holistic approach that helps you listen to your body and understand the deeper messages it’s trying to send you.

Often, our physical and emotional challenges are signals, guiding us toward healing and growth. Systematic Kinesiology works by tapping into your body’s energy, using gentle muscle testing to identify imbalances and underlying stressors.

Instead of asking *why* you’re experiencing pain, fatigue, or emotional blocks, Systematic Kinesiology helps you explore *what* these sensations are trying to tell you.

Through this process, you can release stored stress, restore balance, and move forward with more clarity and well-being. 💫

Ready to discover what your body is trying to tell you? 🌿✨

🍂 **”Not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path.”** 🍂

Illness can feel like a storm sweeping through your life, but sometimes, it’s nature’s way of helping us detox and reset. When we experience symptoms, our body might be working hard to release toxins, old energy, or built-up stress that no longer serves us.

Instead of seeing illness as a disruption, what if we viewed it as the body’s way of clearing the path for renewed health and vitality?

🌱 By embracing this perspective, we can work *with* our bodies rather than against them, allowing space for healing, growth, and transformation.

Our bodies are wise, and often, what feels uncomfortable is a necessary step toward deeper balance and wellness. 💫

Here are 10 reasons to consider using Celtic salt:

Celtic salt, also known as “Sel Gris” or “Grey Sea Salt,” is an unrefined sea salt harvested from the coastal regions of France. Unlike table salt, it retains its natural minerals, making it a healthier alternative.

1. **Rich in Trace Minerals**: Packed with essential minerals like magnesium, calcium, potassium, and zinc, Celtic salt supports various bodily functions, from electrolyte balance to bone health.

2. **Natural Electrolyte Balance**: With its balanced mineral content, Celtic salt helps restore electrolytes, making it beneficial for hydration and recovery after exercise.

3. **Alkalizing Properties**: It helps maintain proper pH levels in the body, reducing acidity and inflammation, which can improve energy levels and overall well-being.

4. **Promotes Better Digestion**: Celtic salt can stimulate digestive enzymes and stomach acid production, aiding in better digestion and nutrient absorption.

5. **Lower Sodium Content**: Compared to processed table salt, Celtic salt has less sodium, making it a heart-healthier option for those managing blood pressure or sodium intake.

6. **Unrefined and Free of Additives**: Unlike table salt, which contains additives, Celtic salt is unprocessed and retains its natural moisture, texture, and mineral content.

7. **Improves Respiratory Health**: Inhaling sea salt, including Celtic salt, can help alleviate respiratory issues like asthma or bronchitis by thinning mucus and clearing airways.

8. **Supports Healthy Skin**: Its mineral-rich content benefits skin health, acting as a natural exfoliant and detoxifier in baths or scrubs, leaving skin softer and rejuvenated.

9. **Boosts Immune Function**: The minerals in Celtic salt, such as zinc and magnesium, strengthen immune function, helping the body recover faster from illnesses.

10. **Enhances Flavour**: Known for its distinctive flavor and texture, Celtic salt elevates the taste of food without overpowering it, adding complexity to your dishes.

With its wide array of health benefits, natural purity, and rich flavor, Celtic salt is a great alternative to traditional table salt for both cooking and wellness.
