What is Healing? 🌺

It’s a question that took a room of healthcare practitioners by surprise, including myself.

We often think healing means simply feeling better or that symptoms must disappear. But can we still be healing even if we’re unwell? Can we feel healed even while facing death?

In Classical Daoist Medicine, disease isn’t just an issue to “fix.” It’s seen as a blockage in the natural flow of life. Symptoms are actually signposts, guiding us to what needs our attention.

Healing means recognising these signs, and being present with what they reveal. We can utilise methods like acupuncture, herbs, and movement to guide ourselves back to balance.
