NO GROUP CLASS!

Thanks to everyone who came to the group classes, it was a good experience and I had a fun time preparing and running them 😃

Unfortunately I won't be running them on a consistent basis from now. I intend to put on some movement efficiency workshops in the future so stay tuned for those!

I'm putting on a group fitness class! 😃 On Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:30pm on Clifton Downs (hit the link below for the meeting place).

The focus is broad; general athleticism. We'll be doing a group warm-up, followed by a circuit-style session that will cover a whole load of movement planes and really challenge your adaptability.

No need to book, just turn up 😃

As someone who has trialled a number of these diets just to see what effect they have on my body, I can definitely vouch for the effectiveness of these key points!

🌾 Emphasise whole foods
🍖 Get enough high quality protein
🥕 Eat lots of vegetables
🥗 Prioritise high nutrient density
😋 Eat slowly until full
🍕 Minimise processed foods

The full woodland parkour route :D I'm a huge advocate of outdoor training alongside more typical gym-based exercise as it provides a stimulus that is impossible to replicate in the gym.

Since every foot placement is slightly different to the last and no two obstacles are alike, you have to make instant adjustments to your body position. These adjustments are made instinctively and therefore help to develop greater intrinsic body awareness, which has significant carryover to sports performance.

Sandbag training is an excellent way to develop adaptive strength. Since the sand moves within the bag, you can never achieve total symmetry, meaning, particularly for balancing exercises, you have to adapt, shifting position and using different muscles to ensure you stay balanced throughout the movement.

This short workout involved some loaded balancing, narrow footed split squats, cleans and overhead press, all with a 30kg homemade sandbag.
