Winter is well and truly underway, with record numbers being admitted to hospital with flu.
It is reported that A&E departments are being clogged up with minor complaints that could be treated elsewhere, including ingrown nails. While an ingrown nail is excruciatingly painful and can get infected, A&E is not the best place to get it treated.

โณ Skip the wait: Avoid the 4+ hour wait in a crowded waiting room.
๐ฆ Avoid the germs: Stay away from a hospital environment where flu is circulating.
