Today it was finally my turn to get a drainage. 🤍

The lovely , was visiting for my birthday and treated me to a session, and it reminded me how special it is to have women around you who share the same passion. I’m a firm believer in community over competition, and I’ve been lucky to meet some incredible people along this journey who are always willing to learn from and support one another.

And honestly, it’s also a good reminder to practice what you preach and stay on top of your own health and wellness too.

A few lymphatic facts worth knowing:

• Your lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump like the heart, so it relies on movement and manual stimulation to circulate.

• When lymph flow slows, fluid can build up, leading to that heavy, puffy feeling many people notice.

• Supporting the system from time to time can help the body move fluid, reduce inflammation, and feel more balanced overall.

Here’s your reminder, sometimes even the practitioner needs the treatment too. ✨

What is Brazilian lymphatic drainage… and why does it look different? ✨

While traditional manual lymphatic drainage is slower and more medically focused, Brazilian lymphatic drainage combines lymphatic techniques with more rhythmic, sculpting movements. It still supports the body’s natural drainage pathways, but with added intention around contour and fluid redistribution.

That’s why people often notice a more defined, sculpted effect, especially through the stomach, waist, and face.

It’s not about force, it’s about technique, pace, pressure and understanding how to guide fluid in a way that both supports the body and enhances shape.

Two approaches, both valuable, just with different outcomes in mind.

Have you heard of buccal massage? ✨

It’s a specialised technique that works both inside the mouth and externally along the jaw, cheeks, and lower face. By accessing the muscles from within, it helps release deep tension, encourage lymphatic drainage, and support natural facial contour.

The sensation is unlike a typical facial — slightly unusual at first, but deeply relieving. You’ll feel tension melt away in areas you didn’t even realise you were holding.

If you’re curious to try it, ask me about adding buccal massage onto your next appointment 🤍

Good Friday has long been associated with fish — a simple, traditional choice that actually aligns beautifully with how we support the body. 🐟

Fish, especially oily fish like salmon or mackerel, is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help reduce inflammation and support overall circulation. When inflammation is lower, your lymphatic system can move more freely — helping the body manage fluid, waste, and balance more efficiently.

Sometimes wellness isn’t about adding more — it’s about returning to simple, nourishing choices that support the body quietly in the background.

If you have a desk job and notice your legs or thighs feeling heavier, tighter, or a little swollen by the end of the day — that’s often fluid retention.

Sitting for long periods slows circulation and lymph flow, allowing fluid to pool in the lower body. Over time, this can lead to that heavy, puffy feeling that doesn’t shift easily on its own.

Lymphatic drainage helps move that stagnant fluid, encouraging it back through the lymphatic system so it can be filtered and eliminated properly — leaving your legs feeling lighter and more comfortable again.
