Harvesting wheat today by hand 🌾
Nice to appreciate flour even more but hoping the combine harvester we were meant to borrow will be back in action next year!
The proof will be in the bread 🥖

I loved meeting these guys at the last weekend. Where I live, we bake bread to share with each others families using a mix of and flour, and I’m looking forward to boosting our blends with more diversity!

This feels like a brilliant and easy way to add nutrients to kids meals 👧🧒👦🍞

And to top it all off I came home to one of my housemates having picked up a bag of diverse wheat seeds to grow 🙌 thanks

We loved offering these “Trick and Treat Cookies” to our neighbours on our rounds last night 🎃, what was the trick? !

And they were delicious!

Here’s the

Makes 14
80ml coconut oil
80ml maple syrup
1tsp Vanilla extract
250g porridge oats, blended into a course flour
50g rapadura sugar/ raw cane sugar
1/2 tsp fine sea salt
1tsp ground
1/2 tsp whole sichuan pepper
1/2tsp bicarbonate of soda
Much 2tsp baking powder
50g chopped dark chocolate

Preheat the oven to 180’C
Line two baking sheets with baking paper
Melt the coconut oil in a small saucepan, remove from the heat and whisk in the maple syrup and vanilla extract
In a large bowl combine all of the other ingredients. Add the coconut oil mixture and mix to combine.
Take ping pong size balls of the mixture into your hand and shape into a ball. Place in the sheet and flatten with the palm of your hand to 1.5cm thick. Leave about 3cm between cookies as they will spread out whilst baking.
Bake in the oven for 15 mins.
Remove from the oven and let cool.

😱😮😯😅😋

Much inspired by the amazing flavours I’ve learnt from
