Last Monday UHI Moray, Elgin, Scotland hosted an Industry and Professional Association Conference for Integrative Healthcare at the University. A great example of complementary therapies, including reflexology, being studied at degree level. I was delighted to be invited to give a presentation on Vertical Reflexology Techniques (VRT) for a wide client base ranging from elite sportspersons to older persons. Many thanks to Amanda Reid, university lecturer and academic tutor, and all those involved in the Integrative Healthcare degree course. The lecture team, students, industry professionals and associations plus members of the public were in attendance and there were presentations, exhibitions, taster sessions, and demonstrations.

'The carpet can always be washed, but we cannot get a child back' The Christmas season is upon us and some children (and adults) may over-indulge and vomiting may result. Winter is a time for sickness bugs too. Not a cheerful thought but here is some valuable Vomiting Information for everyone. This description below has been widely shared in newspapers.
"A 16 year old died. He and his brother slept in the same room. Late at night he awoke throwing up. His brother said he held his hand to his mouth and went to the bathroom.
After vomiting he complained of difficulty breathing. He later died.
The doctor said he held his vomit in, until he got to the bathroom so he wouldn't make the bed or carpet dirty, which is what drowned him.
Vomit went directly into his airways...
Let kids vomit wherever they want. We should never force them to hold the vomit until they get to the bathroom.
The carpet can always be washed, but we can't bring the child back".
This is information could save a life.
