Please be careful when choosing your advertised "therapist" or _________"healer"

Make sure they are ethical practitioners, accredited with proper qualifications and registered with an appropriate body like the Federation of Holistic Therapists or the complementary and natural healthcare council for example, and that they are properly insured.

I see "art therapy courses" being advertised
online which is unethical. To be an Art Therapist you have to have at least reached master level, have clinical hours tallied up and clinical supervision, be registered as an art therapist, and insured with a recognised body for art and psychotherapist's.

Too many "therapists" and advertised "healers" quick to jump on the wellness and spiritual band wagon trend, practising unethically, wanting to score a quick buck without the proper training, clinical hours, case studies or experience required.

I say this as It can be damaging and dangerous and cause harm to those they are working with and holding space for ' the most vulnerable' as more and more inexperienced practitioners/facilitators negatively impact the healthcare and wellness community.

The CNHC Code of Conduct, Ethics and Performance includes a wealth of guidance and useful information, which is designed to be helpful both for CNHC registrants and the members of the public who use their services.

Don’t forget if using a small business try and pay with cash - the charges for credit cards are crippling for all businesses 😔

Why should we pay cash everywhere with banknotes instead of a card ?

- I have a £50 banknote in my pocket. Going to a restaurant and paying for dinner with it.

The restaurant owner then uses the note to pay for the laundry.

The laundry owner then uses the note to pay the barber.

The barber will then use the note to pay for shopping.

After an unlimited number of payments, it will still remain a £50 value, which has fulfilled its purpose to everyone who used it for payment and the bank has jumped dry from every cash payment transaction made.

BUT

IF I go to a restaurant and pay digitally via Card,

- the bank fees for my payment transaction charged to the seller are 3%, so around £1.50

( and so will be the fee of £1.50 for each further payment transaction )

-for the owner re laundry or
- payments of the owner of the laundry shop,
- or payments of the barber etc.....

Therefore, after 30 transactions, the initial £50 will exist at only £5, and the remaining £45 has become the property of the bank … thanks to all of the digital transactions and fees!

Use it or lose it folks…

Once it’s gone we won’t get it back!

Some good deterrents for little things that bite this season- lemongrass, citronella, as room methods steam bowls are handy as well as a heat source, paper strips at windows, on light bulbs both inside and out or when we're out an about camping or at a festival on ribbons hung from trees. As an aromatherapist trusty lavender, if you have a plant spray use it for just oils.
Place cups of boiling water with a couple of drops of the oils in lemongrass, lavender citronella, the steam emitted acts like a diffuser for a bit, wafting through your entry points as in windows an doors of your home, tent, or campervan.

A synergistic blend you could make for your plant spray bottle

-Thyme 4drops
-lemongrass 8drops
-lavender 4drops
-peppermint 4drops. .

Dilute them with a base oil like coconut oil if that's handy or grapeseed oil and massage it into your skin

Or place 2 drops of the blend on cotton wool ball leave it somewhere near your bed.
