Focus on today’s wins to feel chuffed, content and in a positive mindset. We can all spend time listing off what we didn't achieve (I do it a lot, the list is always long).

BUT if we focus on the wins we’ll be feeling a lot more self-love and some of the good feels that, well, make for a joyful life essentially.

These small celebrations don’t have to be big wins to feel the benefit, they could be as simple as you made your bed and kept your children fed and watered. WINNING.

Life is just a chunks of moments lumped together. We can pleasure delay the good times until the cows come home, but where’s the fun in that? And what if ‘fun' tomorrow never comes?

What did you do today that you feel good about? Comment below and let us celebrate you.

The energy, mood, vibe you put out there is what you get more of back. Notice how misery loves company, notice how if we have a moan up, others will love to join in?

Try and keep your interactions with others as upbeat as you can - course, when the sh*t hits the fan, that’s not always easy - but in general, everyday terms, keep your convos light and uplifting - you’ll get more of it back and everyone leaves the conversation feeling a little bit of warmth and good stuff.

We are bombarded with noise daily - whether that’s actual noise or media noise and messages.

If we want to begin to get to grips with who we really are, we’ve got to be able to tune in to ourselves and cut out the distractions.

The easiest way we can do this is to take ourselves off somewhere quiet (this doesn’t always mean leaving the house), step away from all your devices and focus on your breathing - the rise and fall of the chest, perhaps counting the breaths as they come in and out.

By focusing on the breath, we’re giving our busy brains something to focus on. The chatter will come in, and that’s fine, but each time it does, bring yourself back to your counting or following the breath as it comes in and out of the body.

Start with just a couple of minutes - no point in going straight to a 30 minutes session as you may well find it too much. Start slowing and build the time up - the more you do, the more you will want to do. TRUST ME.

Feeling hot hot hot? Yup, me too! Here are 5 easy ways to get your cool on.

1. Legs-up-the-wall pose - great for your circulation and also with any swelling you may have in your pins.

2. A good old cold flannel to the neck. Can also do this for your four-legged friends by wetting their doggy bandanas.

3. Take your picnic icepacks from the freezer and use them as the opposite of a hot water bottle.

4. Ditch the nylon and polyester and opt for cotton as it's a more breathable fabric that you are less likely to sweat your arse off in
5. Rose water - my favourite! Not only is it refreshing, calming and great for your skin, it will help you smell sweeter too!

Are your energy levels low? It could be your lacking in iron. My periods are super heavy these days and I was noticing how tired I was feeling, so I got my bloods checked out and it turned out I was low in iron. I now take a supplement and boom, energy levels are back. Defo one for you to check out if you are noticing your feeling the lethargy creeping in, or just not feeling your usual self in terms of your energy levels.

I’m also a massive fan of adaptogens. Adaptogens are plants and mushrooms that help the body respond to stress, anxiety and fatigue, as they support the nervous system.

I’ve worked with various medicinal mushrooms and love reishi - which is good for stress, immunity and energy.

I’ve also studied Ayurveda for many years, Ayurveda is an alternative medicine system which originated in India more than 3,000 years ago. In Ayurveda, Ashwagandha features, this is a great adaptogenic herb for reducing anxiety and stress.

Sometimes we write ourselves off with age, or blaming it on a situation we might find ourselves in, but it’s always worth trying some alternatives. I’m not a doctor (obvs) so do your research before taking anything new. Let me know how you get on.

Sometimes we don’t want to feel something as it’s uncomfortable, I get that. I’ve just said goodbye to my son for a week as he’s off on holiday with his dad; it will be the longest my son and I have been apart. I feel sad, but that's ok. I won’t feel sad for the whole week, but for this moment, I feel sad and a little anxious.

I choose not to ignore it, but feel it out for a while and then for my mental health (and so I don’t spend a week of my life fretting), I’ll try my best to move on and focus on the week ahead and what exciting things it will bring in terms of the renovations happening here at home and the time it will afford me to focus on the course I am writing.

It’s ok to feel: the good, the bad and the ugly, it’s about getting that balance between feeling and allowing those feelings to consume your every thought. No good every really came from worrying and it also never changed an outcome - so we have to trust that the universe has our back and all the feelings are available to us.

Are you living the life YOU intended, or one that others would prefer you to live?

Take some time out to consider this. Sometimes years pass before we realise the life we’re living is perhaps not the one we have chosen and maybe one we’ve fallen into, or defaulted to as it mirrors what went before.

Whilst being a parent or a carer has its responsibilities and (I use the word lightly, constraints) we still get to choose how we feel and what we think.

Beliefs are just thoughts we keep thinking, so be selective with your thoughts and make them your own.

It’s never too late to tune into who you really are and who wants to live with regret? Nuh huh.

Relying on caffeine, sugar or your phone to keep yourself awake?

Sit quietly for a moment, how do you feel? Close your eyes, could you nod off?

If you are tired it’s time to make some adjustments - maybe going to bed earlier will help, perhaps your diet needs a tweak, maybe your adrenals are frazzled and you need to lower your stress levels.

The body sends us signals, honour what it’s telling you by listening and responding. It’s all part of being in alignment baby.

A line from Karma Police by Radiohead; a line that has had real resonance with me over the years. How many times have you lost yourself?

We’re bombarded with noise, distraction and our behaviours are so easily influenced by others - it’s no wonder we can lose sight of who we really are.

The biggest indicator of knowing who you are is tuning in to how you feel. Your inner being, or intuition, will always hold your higher good as the highest priority.

We can suppress feelings and emotions as a coping mechanism perhaps, but eventually we’ll need to re-align ourselves with who we really are and what we really want. Because until we let ourselves feel, we’ll struggle to release those emotions and we’ll feel that icky split energy, or feel like we’re blocked and not going anywhere.

Sometimes we’re afraid to stop, to feel, to notice how we truly feel. It can be scary, we may not recognise the face staring back at us. But, if we can start getting to know ourselves again, taking the time to sit and be still with no distractions, taking the time to tune into both our physical and spiritual body, we will begin to reacquaint ourselves with our true selves and I believe you’ll really like the person you already know to be you.
