A week the essential things that keep me ticking

I actually look like I train now, so that’s good.
Lifting with no back pain, training arms often & running 5km daily works wonders

Hit 15 days running 5km every day in November. Brought new foot boats in celebration.

Unsure they will save my chalk hips, but they look fast

Then down to Bristol for Arth’s first gig, couple-a whisky’s and various eats

I’ve taught over 400 people to bench or DB press

The first 2 form fixes are this:

âžĄïž Elbows dropped. Less shoulder pain inducing wide high elbows and more comfy ROM
âžĄïž Chest leads, always. If your shoulders are in front of your nips, you’re now doing a shoulder exercise

Broken>Jacked>Undeniable

The goal was always to be at his peak by 40
But the start was way lower than baseline

This chap had been in shape before

But high standards for training had been traded for going all in building the business

Starting at unable to bend forward from the hips
(If you can’t tell from the photo of his back.. there was pain)

We’ve managed and overcome:

- Riddled with back pain to deadlifting 150kg+
- Trained despite growing the business and last minute travel most weeks
- Dad duties, partial to a couple of beers and great food at the weekend

The biggest factors I’d attribute to this huge transformation:

1. When the opportunity is there, it’s all in.
No ‘I’ll get started tomorrow’ it’s immediate implementation.

2. If it’s 2hrs or 20 minutes, that’s always better than nothing at all.
If you want training to fit, you will make it fit.

We got him out of pain, jacked and then conditioned to smash the nuts off his first BJJ comp (& get his blue belt)

Fit for the goal, undeniable at 40 and showing no signs of slowing down🔒

A big moment for appreciation for and

I was having dinner Thursday night and all 3 of us said, we probably wouldn’t even be still coaching if it wasn’t for Matt & Sarah

Coaching is a pirates life

You set off with no clear path not always knowing what treasure you’re looking for

It’s way different from having a ‘normal job’ which makes people look at you like you’re nuts

Having an unshakeable squad that just get it is everything

I wouldn’t be coaching and helping my guys look better and live longer without it

And if anything, shows me that the life and business I want to build isn’t impossible, naive or dumb

Brain full of upgrades to keep chasing being the best coach I can be
Belly full of great food & caffeinated beans
Heart full with friends who challenge me to be better & match my weird
