I am passionate about spirituality, healing, dance/movement, photography, and all things creative. I have always felt an inner light guiding me through life, and now I want to share this feeling with others, to enable them to let their own inner light shine. I have myself journeyed through trauma and anxiety-related issues, once feeling broken-hearted and crushed in spirit by my early life experie
nces. One day I found dancing, which set me on the path to recovery, and this was the birthplace of ‘Freedom to Shine’. You can read more about this journey here: https://freedom-to-shine.com/projects/freedom-to-shine. More recently, I trained in Dance Movement Psychotherapy. My training included working with in the fields of mental health, learning disabilities, dementia, and with children. My reason for doing the training was my passion for working with Social Anxiety and low confidence issues, and with people who have gone through trauma in their lives – those who, as I did, feel broken and crushed by things that have happened to them. The most current part of my journey is having found something even more healing than dance; I have come to a deep faith in Jesus. While my faith underpins all I do, absolutely everyone is welcome to attend my events, regardless of what they believe – My only goal is to love, accept, encourage, cherish, defend, honour, and have compassion on the people who cross my path, to hopefully enable them to come closer to finding the complete and lasting healing and freedom which they crave. My Mission and Vision:
My mission is to cherish, defend, enliven, and restore a sense of safety, freedom, and comfort to the broken-hearted and crushed in spirit. My vision is to create safe spaces of comfort, nurturing, and renewal for those who might feel lost and forgotten, or unsafe in the world, which enable them to:
1. Feel loved, treasured, and cherished.
2. Feel seen, heard, accepted, and wanted.
3. Feel safe enough to let their inner light shine through – providing them with the freedom to shine, glisten and glow through dance, movement, and the creative arts.
4. Feel strengthened and empowered to heal and transform pain in their own lives, and the lives of those around them.
5. Fully rest and let go of external and internal expectations to be something they are not.
6. Relate to themselves and others in creative ways.
7. Express themselves exactly how they need to.
