Beech House Residents Enjoy a Trip to Almonsbury Garden Centre 🌹☕🍴

Today, Beech House took Anita and Marion out to Almonsbury Garden Centre for a lovely outing. While exploring, we discovered some giant roses 🌹 — Anita thought they were absolutely beautiful, though a little too large to fit in a vase!

After wandering among the colourful flowers and browsing the charming Valentine’s ornaments, we paused for a well-deserved lunch and coffee. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with sights, scents, and smiles — a perfect little escape from the everyday! 💛

Field House Tries Tai Chi for the First Time 🧘‍♀️🌿

Field House was delighted to welcome a lovely lady called Eva from Alive, who joined us to lead a Tai Chi session. This was our very first time trying Tai Chi as a group, inspired by one of our residents who shared how interested they were in giving it a go — and we’re so glad we did!

Eva guided us through gentle, flowing movements that were both relaxing and uplifting. Residents who took part really enjoyed the experience, embracing the calm atmosphere and the opportunity to try something new together.

It was a wonderful session that left everyone feeling refreshed and positive. A big thank you to Eva for introducing us to Tai Chi — we look forward to the next one! 💛

Quarry House Welcomes Students from The Met School 🎉🎲⚽

Quarry House had a wonderful visit this morning from students at The Met School, bringing energy, laughter and plenty of fun with them!

Residents and students enjoyed a range of games together, including dominoes and ball games. It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved — sharing smiles, friendly competition, and great conversation along the way.

Intergenerational visits like this always bring such a positive atmosphere to the home. A big thank you to the students for spending their morning with us — we loved every minute! 💛

Field House Residents Enjoy a Cosy Café Afternoon ☕🌧️🍰

Field House residents had a wonderful trip to the café on the Common nearby, where we enjoyed a selection of tasty drinks and delicious cakes.

With the rain gently falling outside, we found a warm and cosy spot indoors to sit back, relax, and take in the view. There’s something so comforting about watching the raindrops from inside with a hot drink in hand and good company all around.

It was a lovely afternoon filled with conversation, smiles, and sweet treats — simple moments that make special memories together. 💛

🥁 Rocking the Morning at Quarry House 🎶

What a fantastic start to the day at Quarry House!

This morning we were joined by Nicola from ALIVE for an energetic drumming circle — and what a session it was! Residents had an amazing time drumming along to the beat of both classic favourites and newer rocky tunes. The room was filled with rhythm, smiles, and plenty of laughter.

We were also delighted to have some students from The MET School join in, making it a wonderful intergenerational morning full of music and fun.

It was a lively, feel-good session enjoyed by everyone — we can’t wait for the next one! 🥁🎵

🎶 Coffee, Cake & Classic Melodies at Glebe House ☕🍰

This morning at Glebe House, we enjoyed a wonderful residents’ meeting and coffee morning, complete with a delicious coffee and walnut cake and plenty of freshly brewed coffee.

We were delighted to welcome the wonderful Ros, who came in to play the piano for us. The room was soon filled with beautiful music — toes were tapping, hands were clapping, and there was plenty of singing all around!

It was a lovely, uplifting morning enjoyed by everyone. A huge thank you to Ros for bringing such joy and energy to Glebe House — we can’t wait to have you back again soon!

🎶 A lovely afternoon at Field House 🎶

Today we were joined by Damien, who provided wonderful bedside entertainment for our residents. He sang a variety of songs, with some residents choosing their favourites and others happily enjoying the songs Damien selected for them. Smiles all around and lots of appreciation for his lovely singing.

Alongside the music, I went around offering hot hand massages, giving residents a chance to relax, unwind, and enjoy a little extra comfort this afternoon 🤍

🌿 A wonderful day out for Beech House! 🌿

Today, Margaret and Kay had the loveliest time exploring the beautiful Wye Valley. We enjoyed a scenic drive along the water, taking in the stunning views — it really was a treat to sit back and admire the scenery.

We stopped for a delicious lunch where Kay enjoyed lasagne with garlic bread, while Margaret chose a comforting bacon and tomato soup — the perfect fuel for the afternoon ahead 😋

Once refuelled, we headed over to the butterfly farm, which the ladies absolutely adored. Armed with spotting sheets, we searched for all the different butterflies and were even lucky enough to have some land on us — such a magical experience 🦋✨

On our way home, we passed our driver Dean’s house, where the ladies finally got to meet his son Teddy, who they’ve heard so much about 🥰 — a lovely surprise to end the day.

Thank you, ladies, for such a joyful day out — memories made and smiles all round 🤩

❤️ Love is in the air at Glebe House this afternoon! ❤️

We were delighted to welcome the wonderful Clare from Our World In Pictures and what a fantastic show she put on. Our residents loved listening to timeless love stories such as Romeo & Juliet and Cleopatra & Mark Antony, along with many more heart-warming tales.

There was even a joyful sing-along, featuring our very own Tom Jones with “Delilah” 🎶 — smiles, laughter, and singing all around!

Thank you, Clare, for such a beautiful afternoon. We can’t wait to welcome you back next month for a spring session 🥰❤️

This afternoon at Quarry House, residents had a fantastic time with the lovely Shannon, who sang a great range of tunes for everyone to enjoy. There was lots of singing along, dancing, and smiling as residents joined in and soaked up the music.

☕ Weekly Walk & Warm Drinks at Glebe House 🚶‍♂️

This morning at Glebe House, we enjoyed our weekly walk to The Bowl Inn for a lovely hot coffee or tea. It was a great chance to get some fresh air, relax, and enjoy good company.

During the walk and over our drinks, Graham shared wonderful stories about his boat and the places he used to visit, sparking lots of interest and conversation. A really enjoyable and social morning for everyone 😊

🍽️ A Lovely Carvery Outing at Quarry House 🌿

Residents at Quarry House recently enjoyed a delicious carvery outing at the Winterstream Carvery and Farm. Everyone enjoyed a hearty meal, great company, and the relaxed countryside setting.

It was a lovely outing, full of smiles and good conversation — a real treat that was thoroughly enjoyed by all 😊
