About time I introduced myself and shared a bit of my story!
I started studying nutrition in 2005 at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM), After a year, I switched to the College of Natural Nutrition to pursue a two-year advanced diploma under Barbara Wren, the college’s founder. This open course took me five years to complete, as I was working through my own health challenges: chronic fatigue, low immunity, IBS and endometriosis.
During this time, I trained as a yoga teacher in India (another passion of mine!) and became certified in Psych-K, a subconscious reprogramming method I discovered through Bruce Lipton’s book Biology of Belief.
With nearly 15 years of experience as a practicing Nutritional Therapist, and my own health journey, I’ve come to believe that health has a significant emotional component that nutrition alone can’t address. I lost my mother at two years old to a brain hemorrhage, leaving her permanently brain-damaged and no longer as a mother figure in my life. My deep focus on health, in part, stems from this early emotional injury, which I am still to this day unraveling. Regulating the nervous system is essential to feeling safe and well in our bodies.
In Human Design, I’m a 5/1. The "Investigator" aspect of this means I dive deep into every passion! Over 20 years, I've been obsessed with natural skincare, and in 2018, I formulated my own moisturiser! Today, I continue to research and advocate for natural, non-toxic solutions for healthy skin and aging.
There are so many facets to health, and as a mother of eight years, I bring this knowledge into every aspect of raising a healthy child.
That’s a snapshot of how I found my way to the world of health. I’ll be bringing together all I’ve learned into an online course/membership launching in January—so stay tuned!
