We had two caring hero awards this month.
Ola, who works in the kitchen received a caring hero, we would like to thank her for all her hard work, she always has a smile on her face and nothing is ever to much trouble for her.
Pat is one of our residents wife's, she was also nominated, we would like to thank Pat for all her help within the home, Pat helps in the activities team, helping the other residents participate in the crafts, she is very kind and caring and we appreciate all her support for staff and residents.
Congratulations to both Ola and Pat for receiving your caring hero's award.

Saint Andrews Day Celebrations at Riversway.
We made some creative Flags for Saint Andrews Day.
Everyone enjoyed sticking some crunched up blue and white tissue paper to create a beautiful flag effect on our wooden frames
We had some lovely chats about the national day of Scotland.
It is celebrated on 30th November to honour Saint Andrew, the country's patron saint.
The day is celebrated with Scottish culture music and food.

Shaun enjoyed a trip to the Hanes car Museum in Yeovil.
Lisa had arranged for Shaun to go with his family.
His son Dave and daughter in law Hannah come with us in the taxi
His daughter Cheryl met us at the museum.
First we had lunch in the café, then we had a wonder around the museum
Shaun loves cars, his favourite is the F1 cars .
He had a fantastic day spent with his family.

We had lots of different 40s 50s era of cloths, newspapers, ration books and lots of interesting things to take us on a trip down memory lane.

Little Maverick was back one afternoon last week.
Thelma use to have dogs, she really misses taking them out for a walk.
We thought it would be nice for Thelma to take Maverick out for a walk and over the coop for a spot of shopping.
It was freezing so we had to wrap up warm.
Thelma said it was so nice to go out and take Mav for a walk.
Maverick is such a good boy we love to see him at Riversway.
