Ken. Michael, Thelma, Tuck, Bridget and Margaret all enjoyed a lovely day out.
We had our lunch in the Wishing Well Longwell Green followed by a game of bowling in Hollywood Bowl next door.
Tucks sister Jane and her husband Tim were able to join us along with Kens wife Pat and Margaret's daughter Jemma.
It was great to enjoy the day out with families.
We had the boys verse the girls, and the girls Won 🥇
Thelma had the highest score. well done Thelma.
On the way back on the bus we sang lots of different songs together.
Everyone said what a great day they had.
A big thank you to the staff who make it possible for the trips to take place and to our amazing bus driver who always makes our days out so special.

Yesterday for St George’s Day, we created a simple but effective craft by making a shield picture on a canvas using scrambled tissue paper. First, we drew the outline of a shield, then we scrunched up small pieces of red and white tissue paper and glued them inside the shape to create a textured, mosaic effect. The red tissue was used to form the cross, while the white filled the background, representing the traditional flag associated with Saint George. This hands-on activity was a fun way to explore colour, texture, and cultural celebration while developing fine motor skills.
We had refreshments of teas, coffees, cold juices, and cakes on offer during our craft
We also had some interesting facts about St George’s Day that we read out to the group.

St George’s Day is celebrated on 23rd April and honours Saint George, the patron saint of England. The day is often marked by displaying the red and white St George’s flag, taking part in parades or community events, and learning about the famous legend of Saint George and the dragon. It is a time to celebrate English heritage and traditions.

We all decided on making a good old fashioned bread pudding.
Everyone can remember making this, its a very traditional pudding from way back.
We broke the bread up and enjoyed mixing the ingredients together to make this wonderful pudding.
