These brown, white patches in enamel are a result of excessive fluoride intake whilst the teeth are forming in childhood.

It can be easily treated in a minimally invasive way with composite (white resin material) which mimics tooth structure

These are taken soon after treatment

Throwback to a smile completed a few years ago and still looks just as fresh!

A lot of cases posted don’t show how the treatment outcomes look years down the line. What’s really important is good clinical assessment and treatment planning to ensure the smile stays as good as the day competed for years to come without composite bonding breaking and orthodontic relapse
In this case we planned as part of Invisalign to accommodate upper and lower fixed lingual retainers as the chance of teeth moving back was quite high.

This result was achieved with:

-Whitening
-Composite bonding
-New crowns
- the most important work was to stabilise the bite on the back teeth and ensure these are nice and strong. This will help to keep the front teeth healthy as they will take less of the workload once the back teeth are in good condition

This is a lovely case of a young lady who came to me on recommendation for restorative dentistry and we ended up also treating her smile with Invisalign and minor composite bonding to achieve a natural and healthy result
