Sometimes, there’s no better way to lift someone’s spirits than with a bit of sunshine, fresh air, and kind conversation.

Today, one of our residents, Audrey, and one of our colleagues took the opportunity to step outside and enjoy a peaceful walk together. The sun was shining, the breeze was gentle, and they had such a lovely chat while soaking up the beauty of nature.

Moments like these are so special – simple yet meaningful.

At Charterhouse, our colleagues love going the extra mile for our residents!

Our fantastic colleague, Gayeanne, was recently chatting to one of our residents, June, about the beach, sand and the feeling of summer.

In a very creative way, Gayeanne decided to bring the beach to June. 🌞

She thoughtfully prepared a little 'beach experience' — bringing in some sand, making a refreshing mocktail, and playing music to set the scene. The joy on June’s face was absolutely priceless.

What a fantastic example of going above and beyond to make our residents feel special, understood, and uplifted.

A huge thank you to Gayeanne for your contribution and for bringing so much heart into your care. 🌊🍹🎶

The response was phenomenal – over 250 ideas were submitted from residents, colleagues, universities, start-ups and supporters across the UK and beyond.

We’re excited to share the emerging themes and hear your feedback.

A huge congratulations to Ron, a resident at Charterhouse, who has been supported to set up a stall within The Chocolate Quarter’s Thursday Market 😊

Ron has accomplished his goal to write and publish his two books to date and has started to sell them👏

Ron said, “I have had a very successful day and sold thirteen copies today, each one has been hand signed by me.” 📖📚
