🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

Today, our staff in our Chipping office are proudly wearing pink to show support for those affected by breast cancer and to help raise awareness for this important cause 💗

Early detection saves lives — so remember to check yourself regularly and book your screenings.

Here are a few facts to keep in mind:
💗 1 in 7 women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
💗 Men can get breast cancer too — it’s rare but important to be aware.
💗 The earlier breast cancer is found, the better the chance of successful treatment.
💗 Regular self-checks and mammograms are key to early detection.

Let’s keep spreading awareness, supporting one another, and wearing pink with purpose 💕

🌸 Wendy’s last day! 🌸

We’re saying goodbye to the lovely Wendy, who’s retiring after 10 amazing years with Network Healthcare. She’s been such a big part of the team - always smiling, always ready to help, and just such a wonderful person to have around.

We’re going to miss her so much, but we’re wishing her all the happiness and relaxation in the world for this next chapter. 💐💛

☕💚 Macmillan Coffee Morning — Thank You! 💚☕

We’re still buzzing from last week’s Coffee Morning and thrilled to share the total… together we raised £235 for Macmillan Cancer Support!

From the first kettle boil to the very last slice of cake, you showed up with generosity, warmth, and that brilliant community spirit we love. Whether you baked, brewed, donated, washed mugs, or simply popped in for a quick cuppa and a chat—thank you. Every pound raised helps Macmillan be there for people living with cancer, offering practical, emotional, and financial support when it’s needed most.

We counted up every coin and online donation to reach £235 - and we couldn’t be prouder of what we achieved together.

This won’t be our last fundraiser - so keep your ideas (and recipes!) coming. Until then, thank you for turning coffee, cake, and conversation into real support for people facing cancer. 💚

This is why the coffee morning on tomorrow is so important! 💚💙

“I had to navigate living with cancer at a young age and learn to rehabilitate my health and wellbeing parkrun made a huge difference to me.”

Rachel was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer at the age of 33 and has been in remission since April 2020. She’s determined to raise awareness of bowel cancer and is using her lived experience to advocate for young people affected by cancer.

“I love to help others as much as I can, and although I may not be able to change the world, if I can change it for one person, then it’s worth it! I’m so passionate about saving young lives and turning my experience into something positive.”

Rachel recently completed a 10km run with her husband to raise funds for a local colorectal team at their local hospital, and believes volunteering for parkrun has been crucial to her recovery.

“Staying active is so important to me. I volunteer for my local parkrun’s 5K Your Way group because I want to help anyone affected by cancer to stay active. I absolutely love being outdoors in nature – especially in the spring and summer months.

“Volunteering gave me the confidence to restart running again. I now attend Pontypridd parkrun most weekends, and it really helps with my wellbeing and anxiety management – which needs more work after cancer!

“Macmillan supported me throughout my cancer diagnosis which took a huge worry and burden off me. I also contacted the helpline and received counselling sessions too. I’m forever grateful for the charity’s support.”

We’re so glad we were able to support Rachel as she navigated her cancer experience.
