This week we continued our focus on Love with an introduction to Loving-kindness practice.

Either seated or laying comfortably, we held our hands with our palms to the sky or together like a bowl, as a symbol to give and receive love 💕

Everyone was given a paper worksheet to complete at home, recognising their thoughts and feelings in this practice, how we can break the cycle or patterns of resentment and helping them to understand the principles behind this.

This week we return to our theme of Love ❤️ using a practice called Metta Bhavana 🙏

In Metta Bhavana, the word metta translates as “love” in a broad, non-romantic sense, encompassing qualities like kindness, goodwill, friendliness, and compassion. It’s the warm, open-hearted feeling you might have toward a dear friend, a child, or even a stranger. The word bhavana means development or cultivation.

“May I be happy, may I be healthy and may I live in peace”.
