Okidoki. . . Let’s get comfy and talk a little about yin and yang.

So let’s start with Yang (then Yin 🙈)!

Yang type yoga ( like vinyasa ) , is for the muscles.
Yin yoga is all about the other bits, the connective tissues, the fascia and joints.

You need both to help all the ” stuff “ in your body work properly. It’s also good for your head to sometimes move around and be active. It’s equally as important to let yourself slow down and be still.

The awesomeness of yin and yang ☯️

In yin yoga it’s often ( but not always) a floor based practice. The pace is slower and you’ll hold poses for longer.

Some say that you should be completely still when holding a pose in yin. But if you’re anything like me, that’ll put a s**t ton of pressure on you and your anxiety will go haywire!

So I say if you need to fidget do it, if you need to shift do it! What’s the point of a slower calmer practice if you’re stressed out and anxious.

Hi there 👋

I thought I’d reintroduce myself. I’m Yasmina and I teach inclusive yoga. I’m also an illustrator, live by the sea and share my life with my senior pup Buster.

What to expect from my classes 〰️

🌼 Plenty of variations
🌼 A steady paced class
🌼 A calm and welcoming environment
🌼 A place to come as you are - you do not have to be fit, thin or flexible to start yoga

Inclusivity is key.
We are all made different 〰️

Physically, mentally and emotionally we are all capable of different things.

And isn’t that freakin’ amazing 🤩

Even on a basic bone structure level - one body might be able to do a pose where another might not. And that’s ok!

I’m here to help you enjoy your yoga practice, not force your body into weird yoga poses.

I’m here to share what I’ve learned, to give YOU an awesome yoga class. And to support you on your yoga journey.

Mindful art making workshop with me Yasmina 😊

Combining what I’ve learnt over the years from being an artist, illustrator, and yoga teacher.

This workshop is about the process not the end result. So there’s no prior skill needed. We’ll be using art making to cultivate mindfulness, through guided exercises.

The aim is to free your mind to just create! A type of moving meditation. For when sitting still and emptying your mind is just not acceptable to you.

“Mistakes” are encouraged. There’s no wrong way to do it.
Let’s make a mess!
