– A Commitment Beyond a Day or a Month
March is International Women’s Month, a time to celebrate progress and reflect on how we can continue to build truly inclusive workplaces.
Leadership isn’t just about making decisions—it’s about creating an environment where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered. More than tick box exercise, it’s an ongoing commitment.
Here are some key traits I believe inclusive leaders do effortlessly:
✔️ They champion , , and (EDI)—not just in words, but in action.
✔️ They foster psychologically safe workplaces, where people feel comfortable speaking up.
✔️ They recognise and challenge unconscious bias, even their own.
✔️ They lead with empathy and authenticity, creating space for diverse perspectives.
💡 For L&D professionals considering EDI training, some questions to ask:
❓ Is it tailored? – Does it address the real challenges within our organisation?
❓ Is it practical? – Will it provide meaningful strategies for real-world situations?
❓ Will it have lasting impact? – How is learning reinforced beyond the training session?
💡 This , let’s not just celebrate diversity—let’s take action to create truly inclusive workplaces. What’s one thing your organisation is doing to champion inclusion?
