OPEN THEATRE TASTER SESSION - PLACES FILLING FAST

Since announcing our free theatre session in partnership with Open Theatre last week, we’ve been genuinely thrilled by the level of interest we’ve received.

It’s been brilliant to see so many individuals and organisations keen to find out more about this opportunity.

There are limited places left! Last chance to join us for a fun and playful session where you can let your creativity shine through music, movement, and imagination. The workshop will be facilitated by experienced Open Theatre facilitators as well as the Boundless team. No experience required - just curiosity about theatre and a willingness to come and have fun! Participants should attend with a support worker.

We’ve been getting into the Easter spirit this week, creating beautiful egg-themed sun catchers using colourful tissue paper 🌸✨

Each piece is a celebration of creativity, light, and individuality—just like the amazing artists who made them 💛

FREE THEATRE TASTER SESSION 🎭

Boundless is excited to be partnering with Open Theatre to offer a free creative theatre workshop for young people and adults with learning disabilities.
Open Theatre’s unique approach uses movement, music and play to help people explore creativity and express themselves.

This taster session will help us gauge interest in developing a future theatre programme in Bromsgrove, co-created with participants and delivered in partnership with Open Theatre.

📅 Wed 29 April
⏰ 10.30 – 12.30
📍 Artrix, Bromsgrove (Fully Accessible Venue)
👥 Young people and adults with learning disabilities (18+)
🎟 Free – booking required (15 places)

Participants should attend with a member of support staff.

Here is a photo gallery of some of the fantastic ink drawings from our found objects mark making workshop this week. Our artists focused on composition and considered how they could use non-traditional drawing tools to create shapes, textures and patterns.

Our artists have been mark making with inks and found objects this week at For Making's Sake. We made drawing tools with lollipop sticks and string, and used cardboard, pipettes, pipe cleaners, wooden sticks, and straws to apply ink to the page. What a fun week for creativity and experimentation.

Our art club members have loved trying different marbling techniques so this week we wanted to try something similar but with a bit of a twist. We made floating chalk prints which produced these amazing explosions of colour. Our artists really enjoyed the sensory nature of the process and were fascinated to explore how different types of chalk and pastels gave different results.

These photos are from our previous session at For Making's Sake where we made geometric stamps using craft foam and cardboard.

We think the results were lovely and our artists created some really fantastic repeated geometric prints.

Back by popular demand, bubble painting! Some of our artists made Valentine's Day themed pieces by printing with heart shaped bubble wands. Others tried printing bubbles using different shapes.

All of our artists got really creative, exploring different ways of building layers of colour and texture. Great work everyone!

Our Top Making Moments ✨
Our favourite creative activities of 2025, as voted for by our participants 💛

Marbling was a calm and mesmerising process, with beautiful patterns forming as colours gently moved across the surface 🫟🎨

Everyone loved watching their artwork come to life in such a magical way.

We love seeing our members relax, explore and enjoy the creative journey together.

This week our learning disabled artists were using a technique called sgraffito with oil pastels. This allowed them to make vibrant, textured drawings by scratching the surface to reveal the colours lying underneath.

At For Making Sake we are dedicated to creating an inclusive and safe space, where our artists can experiment and try out new materials and techniques.
