I’m Jo a holistic therapist and menopause wellness coach.
My therapy work has always revolved around women’s health both physically, mentally and emotionally supporting every woman with a whole range of needs from pregnancy, postpartum, menstrual cycle support, peri menopause and post menopause. Such a complex female support structure that is so desperately needed. When we support our bodies holistically we learn to understand our bodies which helps to keep everything moving.

🔥Hot flashes during menopause create a cascade of physiological changes throughout the body. The primary trigger is declining estrogen levels, which affect the hypothalamus - your body’s temperature control center - making it hypersensitive to small temperature changes.

🔥Immediate Physical Effects:
The body responds as if it’s overheating, even when it’s not. Blood vessels near the skin surface rapidly dilate, causing the characteristic flushing and redness, particularly in the face, neck, and chest.
🔥Your heart rate increases, sometimes dramatically, and you may experience palpitations.
🔥Core body temperature can rise by several degrees within minutes.
🔥Sweating often follows as your body attempts to cool down, which can range from mild perspiration to profuse sweating that soaks clothing and bedding.
