Routine GP Appointments

Due to staff leaving the practice and sickness, we currently have fewer routine GP appointments available.

Please consider whether your request is urgent and needs to be dealt with today.

If your query is not urgent, you may find support from other services such as your local pharmacy. For advice about a child, the NHS Healthier Together website offers helpful guidance.

We understand how frustrating this situation can be. We have recruited new GPs who will join us once the recruitment process is complete.

Please remember that we operate a zero tolerance policy for any form of abuse, aggression, or threatening behaviour toward our team. Our Care Navigators are working extremely hard to accommodate as many requests as they can during a challenging period.

Are you one of the missing millions? Get your blood pressure checked this Know Your Numbers week. The only way to find out if blood pressure is high is to have a BP check and it is so easy to do. Checks are available at local pharmacies or at your GP practice. Alternatively, if you have a blood pressure machine at home, you can do it yourself. Just take readings morning and evening for a week, work out the average, and send it to your GP practice for checking. At Brook Lane we have a machine in the reception area for you to use, no appointment necessary just turn up. If you flag high and have logged in to the machine we will be alerted and will make contact with you for the next steps.

Rowans Hospice provide support to people over 18 who live in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire, who are living with a life-limiting and progressive illness. Support is given regardless of diagnosis and extends to carers, friends and family members during any stage of the illness, including bereavement.

Their Living Well Service is a place for support for people affected by life-limiting illnesses. No referral is necessary for the Drop-In services. Find out more
