"The purpose of our lives is to be happy"
This might seem like a meaningless cliche but there is actually hard science to back up the benefits of happiness and the impact it has on the rest of the world.
When we are happy our brain is flooded with feel good hormones like serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin. These all make us feel good in the moment but they also have huge benefit to our brains ability to function at it's best.
When we have these chemicals in our brain it works faster, it's better at problem solving, it's more creative in the solutions it finds, as well as being more motivated to carry out our solutions.
So when we are happy and flooding our brain with these positive chemicals it means that whatever task or purpose we are working towards our brain is supporting us to do it at it's best.
And when we are working at our best everyone around us feels the benefit!
So it is well worth cultivating happiness in our lives as a way of achieving success in whatever our life's purpose is :-)
