News and Updates 💫YOGA:

✨My Hatha Flow classes are suitable for all ages and abilities.

Whether you're a total beginner or experienced Yogi - my classes have plenty of progressions and regressions to suit everyone.

✨Hatha Yoga is generally slower paced and concentrates on holding static postures and really experiencing the sensations of them as opposed to a faster 'vinyasa' or 'asthtanga' style class.

✨I will guide you to find space mentally and physically using breath work, meditation, increasing strength, and improving flexibility and mobility through movement.

✨I personally found Yoga after years of suffering with chronic back pain, mainly to do with my job but also years of developing a bad posture. It honestly changed my life for the better.

✨As a Dental Hygienist I studied anatomy and physiology in depth and find it fascinating - especially combined with the theory and philosophy of Yoga and also the Aerial arts (hoop, silks and trapeze) which is another passion of mine.

✨The main aims of my classes are for students to learn more about themselves - locate and fix imbalances and therefore reducing risk of injury by keeping the muscles and joints supple. Yoga also helps to improve posture and release tension and trauma stored in the body. Meditation and breath work helps tap into your parasympathetic 'rest and repair' nervous system which helps lower stress, reduce anxiety and and boosts the immune system.

✨Opening the body and increasing flexibility and mobility has amazing benefits from making simple everyday tasks more comfortable to helping you be more resilient to injury as the deep muscles which stabilise your joints become stronger.

💫AERIAL

✨Aerial Yoga is a restorative class which is taught very similarly to my regular classes with the addition of an Aerial Yoga Hammock which is has three handles at different levels to help you perform different poses. It makes a lot of positions much more accessible and also you get to hang out upside-down which is a lot of fun.

✨ Aerial Hoop or 'Lyra' is a steel circular structure which you move around and make shapes in.

✨ Aerial Silks / Tissue is fabric that you climb and create shapes with your body using different types of wraps. You can also 'drop' using the material.

✨Don't worry if you feel you're 'not flexible enough' or 'not strong enough' as this all comes with practice - you will feel your body change every week.

The festival runs May 30th - 1st June where we will be teaching Aerial Silks and Hoop workshops next month ✨

If you haven't heard of Kernow Healing Fields it is a beautiful site near in North Cornwall (near Boscastle) this is their second year and you can expect a weekend of music, spa treatments, workshops, cocoa ceremonies and a safe space and plenty of activities for children!

After a long break from teaching I'm so excited to be back!

This one's for the early birds!

I'll be teaching an Energising Yoga Flow on Fridays 7.30-8.30am from the 31st January at Wildspirits Cafe and Studio in Bude.

The cafe opens just as class finishes so there is the option to stay for coffee and some delicious food if you're not rushing off to work!

Classes are £10 or £40 for a block of 5

Venturi Yoga is returning to The Yoga Studio Bude! ✨

From the 15th of February join me every Wednesday at 6.30pm for a combination of breath work, flow and meditation.

I invite people of all ages and abilities. I'll guide you to unlock your bodies, relieve stress, build strength and improve confidence!

My classes are designed to help you learn what is good for you and correct any imbalances by increasing mobility, working on alignment and improving strength and stability in the muscles and joints that need it most, all whilst practicing mindfulness and reducing feelings of anxiety and chaos in the mind.

My style of teaching is a combination of slow flow and yin (holding poses for a long period of time)

We will explore poses in depth with the breath and often use props such as blocks, straps and massage balls.

Classes 70 minutes and are £10 for drop in or £40 for a pack of 5 which you can use within 6 weeks. Please book with me directly by sending me a message or an email at info@venturiwatersports.com.

June 22 marks On this day, we mark the significance of rainforests for our planet. The aim is to raise awareness to how crucial rainforests are for survival of life on Earth.

At Cabilla we are honoured to be the guardians of 100 acres incredibly rare temperate rainforest. When people think of rainforests they normally think of the tropical variety (Amazon, Borneo, etc.) but once upon a time Western Europe was swathed in the equally vital temperate version. There is less than 2% left and, at Cabilla, we aim to reverse that tragedy by tripling the size of this incredibly biodiverse ecosystem in the valley. Exciting news to come about our plans for this project…stay tuned!

Hi all,

Just a post to let everyone know that I will be taking a bit more time off from my Monday Yoga class in Bude.

I would really love to come back sooner but I'm too busy currently 😔

I will put a post up when I'll be back, if you are owed classes I'm happy to refund you or you can keep the credits for when I'm back or use for paddleboard yoga which will be starting very soon 🥰.
