Most people feel better after having a massage. πŸ™‚
I've heard many people say they feel more relaxed overall, in mind and body.
Often a massage will reduce pain and discomfort in muscles and joints. Some people get a really good nights sleep.
Many of my clients think of their massage as an important part of their self care and maintenance.
I always do my best to provide the most beneficial treatment possible, and my intentions are always for the most positive outcomes.
If you've never had massage, I highly recommend you give it a try.
During the session, I explain the process, the intention and the outcomes we seek. It's a relaxing and informative experience.
πŸ™‚
Treatments available most days of the week, with prior booking essential.

I'm currently working through the 'Introduction to PRRT' course. I'm learning new manual techniques which I can put into practice immediately. I look forward to using them to support my clients' wellbeing πŸ™‚

For any therapists out there, I recommend reading more about itπŸ‘
It is based on stimulating reflexes, reciprocal and autogenic inhibition, Golgi tendon organs and muscle spindles.

Primal Reflex Release Technique taps into your body’s natural reflexes to relieve pain and restore movement. When stress or injury overstimulates these reflexes, it can cause chronic pain and tension. PRRT gently resets them, helping your nervous system relax and bringing fast relief.

This non-invasive, drug-free method works with your body’s natural healing process to ease discomfort and improve mobility. Perfect for anyone dealing with chronic pain or recovering from injury!

If you've got physical pain, discomfort or limited movement, there are many different ways that people can help you πŸ™‚
Whilst they have different foundations, philosophies, rationales and techniques, they all share a common goal of changing something in the body to promote healing πŸ’—
Here is a brief explanation of how a therapist from each discipline might approach a patient's back pain:

Osteopathy – "This treatment will focus on improving the mobility and function of your spine and joints through gentle manipulation and stretching, helping to relieve pressure, reduce inflammation, and ease your back pain."

Chiropractic – "By adjusting your spine to correct misalignments, this approach will relieve pressure on nerves and muscles, reducing back pain and restoring normal movement."

Myofascial Therapy – "This therapy will release restrictions in the fascia (connective tissue), which will help reduce tightness and tension in your back, improving mobility and relieving pain."

Acupuncture – "By inserting fine needles at specific points on your body, we’ll stimulate the nervous system and improve energy flow, helping to reduce inflammation and relieve your back pain."

Massage Therapy – "This treatment will relax your muscles and increase circulation, helping to ease tension and reduce the pain in your back."

Reiki – "This energy-based treatment will focus on balancing your energy flow, helping to release blockages and tension that may be contributing to your back pain."

Craniosacral Therapy – "We’ll use gentle touch to manipulate the spine and skull, encouraging the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and helping to release deep-seated tension in your back."

Tui Na (Traditional Chinese Medicine) – "This technique will focus on manipulating soft tissues and balancing energy flow, helping to relieve tension and restore balance to reduce your back pain."

Ayurveda – "We’ll use a combination of massage, herbal treatments, and lifestyle recommendations to balance your body’s energies, easing back pain and promoting overall health."

Trigger Point Therapy – "This approach will target specific β€˜knots’ in your muscles that are referring pain to your back, providing immediate relief by releasing these trigger points."

Somatic Experiencing – "By helping you become aware of and release tension stored in your body, this therapy will reduce physical discomfort, including back pain, by addressing underlying stress and trauma."

Alexander Technique – "We’ll focus on retraining your body to move more efficiently, correcting postural habits that are contributing to your back pain and reducing strain."

Feldenkrais Method – "This method will help you become aware of inefficient movement patterns and teach you new ways of moving that can ease the stress on your back, reducing pain."

Rolfing (Structural Integration) – "We’ll work with your body’s fascia to realign your posture, which will help relieve the chronic back pain caused by misalignment."

Shiatsu – "By applying pressure to specific points along your body’s energy pathways, this massage will release blocked energy, reduce muscle tension, and help ease your back pain."

Reflexology – "By stimulating reflex points on your feet that correspond to your back, we’ll encourage your body’s natural healing response, helping to reduce back pain."

Zero Balancing – "This treatment will work to balance the energy flow through your bones and soft tissues, releasing deep tension and improving the alignment and comfort of your back."

Physiotherapy – "We’ll use targeted exercises, manual therapy, and education to improve your back’s strength and flexibility, helping to relieve pain and prevent future issues."

Many paths, one destination!
