With rain, ice and snowy conditions hitting parts of the UK this week, please take extra care near water. The Met Office has issued yellow warnings for ice, heavy rain, and snow across different regions over the coming days.

Enjoy these frozen winter views from a distance! ❄️

🚶 Never walk on frozen lakes, ponds, canals or reservoirs.
👧 Keep children and pets well away from frozen water.
⚠️ Remember: in the UK & Ireland, ice rarely freezes deep enough to hold weight!

This week is drowning prevention week. Lifeguards play a vital role in keeping children and adults safe in and around water. If you are looking to support commitment to keeping people safe in water why not become a pool/ open water lifeguard or train to become a trainer assessor.
