📣 New Service Launch – Educational Psychology Assessments at CATS!

We’re excited to announce our Educational Psychology Service, designed to give children and young people (0–25) the support and insight they deserve.

Child and educational psychologists use evidence-based tools, observation, consultation and assessment to understand strengths, challenges and support needs across areas such as learning, communication, social-emotional wellbeing and behaviour.

✨ Why this matters:
• Support EHCP applications & reviews with high-quality, independent psychological assessment.
• Get robust evidence for SENDIST (SEND Tribunal) appeals, including written reports and support if required.
• Informed, detailed reports that help shape the right educational provision.

🧠 Whether you’re starting an EHC needs assessment, preparing for a tribunal appeal, or seeking expert insight into your child’s needs, our team is here to help.

✨ We’re so excited to welcome Dr Tamara Scully to CAT Services for our latest online workshop! ✨

This practical, down-to-earth session is for parents of highly sensitive children. Children who feel things deeply, become overwhelmed easily, and can have big emotional reactions to everyday situations.

Together, we’ll explore:
🌱 What sensitivity really means
🌱 How it shows up in daily family life
🌱 Why mornings, homework and bedtime can so often turn into battles

You’ll come away with simple, realistic strategies to:
✔️ Support your child when emotions run high
✔️ Help them feel safer and more settled
✔️ Reduce stress and tension at home

This session is supportive, non-judgemental and blame-free, just practical ideas to help you understand your child better and make family life feel a little calmer and easier.

A parent of a child on our Right to Choose pathway shared this with us after their child’s appointment, as soon as they got back in the car they said:

“Wow! That was so much more fun than I thought it would be, when can I come back and play games here again?”

They also took the time to thank our clinicians for being so welcoming, and for pitching the session just right for their child.

Moments like this mean the world to our team. We work hard to make every appointment feel safe, supportive, and child-led đź’›
