I think one of the biggest misconceptions about weight loss is that suddenly healthy choices become effortless.

For me?
Not always 😅

Sometimes the old habits still whisper.

But now I understand them instead of automatically following them.

And honestly, that’s where real change happened for me.

Not perfection.
Not restriction.
Not “being good.”

Just slowly learning to look after myself better ❤️

One thing I really hope my children grow up with…

is confidence in the kitchen ❤️

Not because I expect perfection.
Not because every meal has to be organic or homemade.

But because learning to cook is such an important life skill.

Knowing how to feed yourself.
Understanding what keeps your body full and fuelled.
Feeling comfortable around food instead of fearful of it.

Some of my favourite moments are all of us cooking together in the kitchen, even when it’s noisy and chaotic 😅

Because these little moments?
They’re building habits that will stay with them for life.

I used to think I needed more willpower.

What I actually needed…
was support.

Because when you’re juggling children, home ed, housework, mental load, dinner, laundry and everyone else’s needs — it’s no wonder the evenings can become:
“I just need something.”

Something sweet.
Something comforting.
Something to switch your brain off for five minutes.

For years I thought the problem was me.

Now I know the problem was trying to cope while running on empty ❤️
