Good morning, sorry I have been quiet on here. Life has been quite busy. The planets are all over the place at the moment which doesn't help how we feel. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel as we have the peak of the Lions Gate portal tomorrow on the 8th Aug, so 8/8. This alignment involves the sun in Leo, the star Sirius, and the Earth. Which is a great time to manifest, create vision boards & set goals. We also have the Full Moon on Saturday so a perfect time to get rid of what no longer serves you and on Monday 11th Aug we can say goodbye to the Mercury Retrograde who likes to play some tricks and cause upheaval....😏🙈

So just take a moment to take a few deep breaths, get your shoes off and feel Mother Earth under your feet for some well deserved grounding & be present in the moment. It's so easy to get on that merry go round and find it hard to get off..

Today I'm welcoming a new beautiful soul and also a returning beautiful soul for Reiki & Crystal healing✨ So whilst I'm getting the Mead Hall ready I'm playing some soothing music and have lit some space clearing incense, which smells amazing.
I love helping people and it also makes me feel grounded too.

Lammas, a word derived from Old English meaning 'loaf mass' also known as Lughnasadh, is a festival that celebrates the first harvest of the year which is usually celebrated on the 1st Aug🌾

It is a time of abundance, gratitude, and giving thanks for the bountiful harvest. This is not only a celebration, but the half way point between the Summer Solstice and the Autumn Equinox🌻
Lammas is associated with the God Lugh, who represents skill, craftsmanship, and the sun☀️

Because Lammas celebrates the beginning of the harvest season, it's a perfect time to sit down and think about (or even make a list) of all of the things you have in abundance and all of your achievements this year. Like the harvest, you've planted a seed and the fruits of your labour have paid off. Give thanks for all that you have and all that you love💚

🌝Full Moon Candle Ritual🌝

You will need ✨
A small white spell candle and a holder or a tealight candle
A pen
Matches or a lighter

🌝You can do this ritual outside under the full moon or inside. With the candle, holder and pen in front of you imagine a bright white light around you, a light of protection.

🌝Think of a positive goal you'd like to achieve ∆ Health ∆ Success ∆ New Job ∆ Wealth ∆ Stability ∆ Love ∆ Confidence ∆ Completion of a project.

🌝Now call the power of the Lady of the Moon into you and feel yourself empowered, confident & capable.

🌝Say the following words either aloud or in your head:

🌝"I call to you, Lady of the Full Moon, and ask you to give me your wisdom, your joyfulness and your nurturing"

🌝Now use a pen to write a word summoning up your desire into the candle.

🌝Focus on your desire as you light your candle and say:

"As the candle burns
And the moon turns.
So my desire is now set free
As I do, so mote it be."

🌝As your candle burns focus again on your desire, see it coming to you in your life and stand or sit quietly in contemplation for a few minutes. Make a mental note of any thoughts that flow through you during this quiet time. It is at times like this that we often receive insights to our problems and a solution we hadn't thought of can come to us in a flash.

🌝As the candle burns to the bottom, past the word you have written, extinguish the candle and once cold dispose of the candle.

🌝Over the next few weeks, you might want to do something to help your situation - apply for jobs, try new remedies for health & wellbeing or go out a bit more...it's through our intention & determination that magic works. So turn your belief into knowledge and you will soon have your desire granted.

Another beautiful soul from last week having some much needed self care✨ Every session is bespoke just for you as the universe helps me to choose which crystals are needed. At the end of your session I talk through what crystals were used and give you their meanings, plus any feelings I may have picked up. Last week there were some amazing outcomes too!

Summer is lovely, although since going through the peri menopause I don't like it too hot🥵 But I do feel the summer months can also be overwhelming too. We try to cram so much in as we need to 'make the most of it'. Keeping on top of the gardening. How many loads of washing can we fit on the washing line for it to dry quickly. Trying to please everyone by saying 'yes' to everything...and then before you know it Autumn has arrived and we feel worn out and stressed!

So this summer take a breather. Think what is important. You don't need to say 'yes' to everything. Allow yourself some Me time and self care✨

Maybe get up a bit earlier and sit in the garden with a cuppa whilst listening to the birds. Journalling is a great way to be present, write some gratitudes each morning or goals that you'd like to achieve. Ground yourself by imagining roots growing from your feet deep into the ground. Have a digital detox - something I did whilst on holiday recently and it really helped to reset my mind and I found I had extra time to read more books, something I love doing.

We all need to take time for ourselves to recharge our batteries otherwise we can quickly burn out.

This summer I want to get back into cycling in the countryside. Restart my gratitude journey. Spend lazy days reading in the garden and give myself some lovely Reiki healing✨

Holidays are great to reset and recharge, but it's also lovely to come home too💚

Sorry I've been quiet on here. Gary & I are on holiday visiting the Isle of Man. We've been coming here on and off for about 15 years. There is so much interesting Viking history on this beautiful island. Including the resting place of the Pagan lady. Each time we are here we always visit Peel Castle to give thanks & gratitude to the pagan lady. I've attached a photo of her beaded necklace, which is now at the Manx Museum and a photo near her resting place. Also, we were chatting about this in a shop on the other side of the Island...a lady overheard and told us she was one of the people who excavated her grave! Small world eh! Below is from the Manx Museum website 💚

Around 950 AD, a female was buried with her worldly goods on the Isle of Man. From a time when Vikings ruled the land and seas, it is more common to find male burials with status symbols. However, the Pagan Lady was buried in a Christian cemetery with her fine necklace.

The beads came from far and wide – Britain and Europe – and some were 300 years old when the Pagan Lady wore the necklace.

The burial demonstrates not only the real existence of powerful and high status females in a period of history that is usually dominated by the males, but also the ancient appreciation of ornamentation, of personal decoration – of pretty things. A question remains over who she was, although we now know that she was a traveller who was not Island born, but came here and was finally buried on St. Patrick’s Isle.

Other burial goods have been interpreted as domestic trappings – she was the head of the home. But perhaps she was also something else – a wise woman, a healer, a shaman.

I love finding out about our ancestors, history and hearing stories 💚
